There is a reason they have been open since the 30s.

I was good, thanks to the server. My bacon was too hard to eat, and the young man was serving coffee. Don't come my way. The fun thing is he server me half of cup coffee from the beginning.

We went to Ma Fischer's earlier today and was sadly disappointed! Since we are new customers, I don't know how they're typically with customer service but today was absolutely horrible. We were seated and after 15 minutes of waiting and seeing two tables get served that came in after us we got up and left. We saw some staff looking at us but no one even came over to say someone would be with us soon. Sorry Ma Fischer's, I hope we aren't the only customer's you've lost.

Restaurant was not busy during my visit. 2 tables were seated after us and both had servers come to their table. No one ever came to our table or acknowledged us. After 15 minutes of waiting with no one coming to our table, we left. No one even acknowledged us as we were leaving. Guess my money isn't good enough for Ma Fischer's.

It's a classic mid-tier Milwaukee diner experience. Food is good and plentiful. Prices are reasonable. An East Side institution.

Kid-friendliness: There were kids during my visit. They were well-behaved.

Be careful with your credit card charges from this place! My son and his friends went to lunch, and they were told that a $30 tip was included in the check for a total of $150. They split the bill between 2 friends - about $75 each. Now the moms, we are looking at the charges on our credit cards, and we were charged $90 each. That’s an additional $90 each.

I wasn’t going to do anything because it’s only $15 each, i just wanted to warn the manager that he needs to watch that his employees are abusing credit cards. When i called, he said i was a liar because if it was true, i would actively do something. So now, i am thinking, he is the one stealing from customers. Please beware! Ask for your receipts, check your credit card bills, or better yet, find a better place to eat breakfast. There are plenty of better places around.

I had a great breakfast here today after a long night shift at work. The pancakes are the perfect balance between fluffy and dense. Great service too, they have some hardworking staff!

Always good and usually crowded

Parking: It's the East side, parking sucks. But, we live 3 blocks away, so we don't worry about it
