The plantains weren't soft and squishy they were kind of dry. Not what I expect from a traditional sweet Plantain. Everything else was phenomenal, especially the oxtail. I will be back, just not for the plantains. Probably the rice and cabbage only.

Finally had the chance to come check this place out tonight we arrived at about 5:45 PM and we’re seated promptly. The atmosphere was relaxing and and inviting music playing in the background. Everything gave off a welcoming and chill vibe. We started off with a patty and some fritters everything was seasoned with a great balance not too salty not over seasoned not underseasoned. The patties had a great flaky crust the fritters were fried to perfection not oily. We were a party of three for our main entrées. We had the meatballs, jerk, chicken, and oxtails for sides. We had cabbage, mac & cheese, dumplings, rice, and beans, and festival. Again, everything was cooked to perfection. Nothing was undercooked nothing was overcooked. The oxtails were very tender. The jerk chicken was seasoned to perfection and tender and juicy as well. The gravy was so good. I got some on the side to take home definitely 10 out of 10 as far the service we were greeted immediately when we came in we were seated promptly. Everyone there had smiles, pleasant conversation, professional, yet warm, and welcoming demeanor. Overall, a great experience we will be back!

This place has terrible customer service, I can’t believe how terrible they treat their customers. I have gave this establishment multiple chances and ended up disappointed every time. I’m very friendly and respectful never gave any attitude. I use to be a server so I come with respect and know how you are supposed to treat customers. I was just there dining in and I ordered fried dumplings n egg rolls as my appetizer. The fried dumplings came out as bread and wasn’t what I was expecting so I sent them back and told my server that I didn’t want them because they are not the fried dumplings that I thought they were goin to be. There is no picture or explanation of the fried dumplings on the menu. He said he was sorry because he failed to explain what they actually were. I then proceeded to eat my eggs rolls, he came & asked if I was ready to order I told him that I would like a few more minutes before I order my entree. I had got a phone call and he tried to come over and take my order and I politely asked for him to give me a second. My phone call ended and I was patiently waiting for him to come take my order, I figured he may have got busy so I gave him some time. 30 mins passed and he still didn’t come by to check on me and by this time I had ran out of water & put my glass where it can be seen thinking that would get his attention. 15 more mins passed and he didn’t come to take my order, I had to literally say excuse me did you forget about me in a joking manner. But by this time I was just ready to go appetite had been blown after all the waiting. I asked him to bring me the bill, and seen that I was charged for the item I sent back. I asked him why did he charge me for the fried dumpling and I sent them back n didn’t want them and he said because I ordered it. So on top of all the waiting and being ignored I had to pay for an item that I didn’t even eat or want. People come and spend their hard earned money not just for the food but for the experience to and want to be treated with respect. I try to support my black owned business, but this is just 1 that I can’t support and they wonder why we”ll rather spend our money elsewhere. Highly disappointed and disgusted with this establishment customer service.
This place must have a new chef or something. My last couple of visits Food wasn't good. Plantains was dry. Sauce thin and chicken tasted a little tuff and under cooked. This place always had great food. I stopped going to Northside Jamaican restaurants. Something definitely changed

We walked in, the hostess sat us down, we waited 20 MINUTES and decided to leave. No
one came to ask if we wanted water, a drink, NOTHING! The worst customer service. I would understand if it was a busy night but there weren’t a lot of people in there. Very disappointed. This restaurant started out really good but is steadily declining because of the bad customer service.

The food was delicious and well proportioned. The large oxtail meal has enough to eat off of at least twice. Oxtail was tender, everything well seasoned. The young man that took my order was polite. The place looked clean but there was a strange odor like a garbage disposal. I didn't get the sense that something was dirty, more like a plumbing issue. I plan to go back.

I had such a great experience here. The staff was so friendly. The food was absolutely AMAZING! I tried the Coconut Curry Jack Fruit meal and it was so flavorful. I definitely will go back. Beautiful place, food, and people. 🙏
The last Jamaican spot I went to in Milwaukee didn’t have anything I actually wanted… but this place? Oh, they had EVERYTHING. So naturally, I ordered… well, everything. And let me tell you—it was all chef’s kiss.
The owner herself came out to serve us, and she was amazing—super nice, welcoming, and proud of her food (and she should be!). You could taste that love in every bite. The oxtails? Melt-in-your-mouth good. The jerk chicken? Smoked perfection. And the rice & peas? I drowned them in gravy like a true Jamaican uncle would say, “Dat’s how yuh eat it,” and it was absolutely delicious.
Hands down the best Jamaican food in Milwaukee. I’m already planning my return trip in a few days… because once isn’t enough.

I have been here several times and the food and level of service never changes or disappoints. I have practically tried everything on the menu except the vegan menu. My favorites are the jerk chicken and curry goat combination or curry goat and oxtail combination and the fried red snapper.
