Monica's is a Milwaukee gem. The overall vibe is great. The layout is perfect. But what really makes this bar stand out among the many other bars in this area is the friendly and attentive staff (Bianca is amazing!). They make sure you feel comfortable as soon as you step foot inside the door, and that level of professionalism continues until you leave. I can't say enough great things about this bar. Highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

Look, MKE knows bars. If you have any doubt, swing into Monica's and embrace the splendor of the modern dive. Walks that line between come-as-you-are endemic sneaky drinking culture with just enough schwaa that it doesn't lean scuzzy or generic. Great staff, curious and engaging environment, and all the patrons that make drinking in Wisconsin a phenomenon worth partaking in.

Good drink prices. I am from a small town over an hour away and we sat outside because the weather was beautiful. all I can say is the atmosphere was eclectic. We encountered a mixed bag of personalities. White, black, gay, straight, happy, pissed off, drunk and hustlers all in about 3.5 hours. But no major issues or fights. Just have a drink and sit back and watch the show. Tip your bartender well because they have to deal with it all!

Ambiance was cute, dim, and warm. Good amount of seating with comfortable chairs, even a fireplace that created a welcoming environment. Bathrooms were clean and easy to access.

I’m not sure if they offer food, but we stopped for some drinks and the place was nice, the drinks were good, the staff was friendly and it is a good place in the Lower East Side area to have a drink. We liked the vibe and we will be coming back .

Such a neat hole in the wall place! We held a celebration party here last night and there's so much space we didn't bother the folks at the bar. Free pool when we were there Wednesday night. Amazing drink prices and an outdoor patio. Staff was quick and friendly. If you pay with card make sure to spend at least $10! One of our friends was $0.50 short and got a cup of olives to go over. We had such a wonderful time and plan to be back!
