We lived in Spain for 4 years and were hoping to get a little taste of Spain. First thing we noticed is that we didn’t get served olives or bread a traditional part of a meal. We shared the paella which was very disappointing. The rice was more of a Mexican style rich than a Spanish rice. Sangria taste as if it was just bored out of a box. Tapas were not traditional as well. Besides playing to types of music at the same time the ambiance was nice. Service could be a little better.

Nice place overall. The food was tasty, especially the patatas bravas (10/10) and the tortilla (9/10). I didn’t like the tacos, but my partner did. We order a lot of tapas and it was a lot of food! We were not expecting that. Honestly, just the tortilla and the patatas bravas would have been enough for 2. The pimento spread was very good as well. We also ordered the sangria flight, it’s expensive ($20 for 3 small glasses), and the best is the red one by far!! Good place, a little expensive for what it is but you should definitely try!

place is nice, service is good, waiters are wonderful, food is very quick. croquetas OK garlic shrimp (gambas al ajillo) decent shishito peppers (pimientos de Padron) were good. paella, not paella, rice with stuff mixed, not good flavor, not good recipe, nothing to do with Spanish stuff. sauce on top (??) I am still very upset about this, you please do not call this paella.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was good, and the tapa serving sizes were generous for two people. I would highly recommend the broccolini, it ended up being one of our favorite dishes. Service was friendly and attentive even with how busy the place was.

We showed up without a reservations which was to our advantage. The courtyard is lovely. Food was delicious. Service was exceptional. Two tapas and a meat paella. Some wine. Prices were reasonable. Worth your time.

We went here with another couole last night. It was great ambiance. Outdoor patio is awesome. Food was okay. Service was okay. Very unhappy with the bill. When it came, I pulled out cash based upon the total. Server took it. The husband of the couple we were with looked at it and noticed they include "service" charge of 18% already. Mind you, it was the bill for my wife and I only. Not 6 or more people. Feeling duped that tip was included, I asked the server about it. She stated that the service charge was to make sure all the employees were paid a fair wage. It wasn't a tip. She explained we were able to add a gratuity at the end as a bonus. I expressed I felt cheated, as she didn't explain this as she dropped off the bill. She stated it is on the menu, and in fact in small fine print at the very bottom it says this. It is my fault for not being a starter consumer, however, it is also their responsibility to make the patrons aware this is the case. On an 100$ bill they got 50$ service and tip out of me. I will not go back, nor would we recommend this establishment to others. But, if you do go,do know service is included in your final bill total.

We enjoyed our meal last night. We ordered tapas to share and most of them were quite good. When I booked the reservation on OpenTable, I noted that it was our anniversary, but nobody at the restaurant acknowledged that or said anything at all. We were seated on an outdoor patio with rugs hanging between tables. Overall, it was pretty good, but I thought we'd be seated inside based on pictures and reviews. I would probably choose a different location next time.

Great atmosphere! It was outdoor dining but with covering, you were protected from the cold weather and rain (if there were any). Great atmosphere. The food we nice, you could have alot of snacks (tapas) or a larger meal. We had Sangras (normal and some alittle different). We enjoyed it all!

Went here for Mother's Day dinner with my mom and mother in law. Everything was excellent, great service (especially the Sangria and desserts). Cannot wait to go back.

Movida (now at hotel madrid) has handled this pandemic better than any place I've seen. They have star wars themed tents out on the patio that are FUN and UNIQUE with great food and drinks at a reasonable price. Even for the kids they had a ramen and cheese dish that I kept 'sampling' it was so good! I went once with friends and again with our kids and each time was perfect. Keep these going and we will be back often. Kudos to all of you!

Outdoor covered patio = lovely ambiance. We had an amazing evening. My husband got the cocktail that came in the baby yoda glass - he loved it. My friend and I both got the G&T listed on cocktail menu. All great. We shared three tapas - steak skewers, ham croquettes, and patatas bravas, then we shared the chefs paella. We LOVED everything. Service excellent.

This is hands down the best tapas restaurant in Milwaukee!!! I have never ordered something that I didn't like. My wife and I have gone several times. On this occasion, I took my mother out for her birthday and we did the unlimited tapas (any tapas $13 or less) for $35/person and added a glass of red sangria ($5), which was half off since it was Sunday. In total we definitely got our money's worth by trying 11 different tapas and I ordered a second round of croquetas because they are just that good. There were some new items added since we had last visited, such as the broccoli with a fig and jam spread on the plate and squash empanadillas instead of the mushroom truffle empanadillas that were no longer on the menu. Unfortunately, we could not order the carpaccio as they had run out, which was unusual since we ate at 5 pm.My only complaint is that they no longer have the burrata board and manchego cheesecake, which have been our favorites in the past. All in all though, Movida is a must for anyone wanted to experience authentic Spanish tapas!

Was informed at the end of our meal that there would be an 18% ($40) COVID charge in addition to gratuity. This apparently was for “cleaning (they didn’t do that before?), PPE, and employee masks”. No mention of this when making the reservation or being seated, and lipstick on my water glass showed it was a BS charge. Congrats, we won’t be coming back.
