We pick up Mr Dye's Pie at Madison's Saturday Market. I've dined all around the world, and as I enjoy this key lime tonight I feel emotional. It is SOOOO GOOOOD! Tart, fresh, perfect texture...perfect. The Best Pie- prove me wrong. In the dessert category at large- show-stopping. Bravo!

Saw a story about this place on the news a while ago so I bookmarked it and planned on stoping in some day. Well today was the day, and it won't be the last! It is a little weird, very little signage on the road. Just a small sign that says PIES. Then when you park in the back of the building, there is no real direction as to where to go. But there is only one door, so I took a chance! Inside there was another sign that said "ring bell for Mr. Dye's Pies". A few steps further there was a billboard menu with their products. We ordered 2 half pies, one Key Lime and the other Blueberry to serve with Easter dinner tomorrow. Luckily I "checked in" on YELP! Because I got a free slice of pie! With the free piece I chose the Pecan Pie. Oh my god was that good! Easily the best Pecan Pie I've ever had! Not too sweet, yet so tasty. Full of toasted pecans and the crust was excellent. Maybe the weirdness of the place is it's charm. But the pie is legit.

The old fashioned cherry pie was absolutely delicious! I surprised my husband with it for his birthday, and it was gone by the end of the night!

His pies used to be delicious be the last 3 times it been extremely awful.The sweet potatoe pie is OC its super thick my guess literally ate only the inside of the pie an left the crust.The Keylime pie was also awful it tasted like hell I can't explain it.I think it's someone else is making them an using the name. I will not be back or recommending them to anyone else.IT,S NOT THE SAME!!!

Just purchased a slice of their peanut butter pie and it was the best pie I've ever tasted! I was kind of stand offish at first about buying a pie from a gas station but I'm happy I did! Great job!

I feel like I got ripped off for the key lime pie I purchased in which it didn't even make it home to be enjoyed as it became a soupy mess. Such a disappointment. What I could taste, it was not good in any sense. The crust was completely watery/mushy mess, what a waste of $13 on a half pie. Never again...

So good!! Went to the Waukesha farmers market on 8/7 and the young men working the stand were helpful and polite. We bought the banana bread, and three slices of pie. I just ate the N’awlins pecan pie. It was delicious, not overly sweet like most pecan pies and loaded with pecans. The crust is homemade, nice and thin too. Definitely 5 stars. Can’t wait to try some of the other flavors!

I’ve never been to the store but I’ve bought their pie from the farmers market and was even lucky to score some from the EMS room at a local hospital. I’m usually not big on pie but these have changed my mind. The purple monster pie is extremely delicious if you’re looking for a recommendation. Can’t wait to visit the local farmers markets for their pie this summer (and maybe score some of the chocolate chip banana bread too) Someday I’ll trek on over to the store. 10/10 recommend.
