Cheap but well-kept buffet. They keep prices down by using strofoam bowls and dishes, and plastic ware. But its tastey and inexpensive. Staff are not inviting or friendly (no smiles) and you prepay before seating and eating, so dont tip till you're done. I suggest going further South on Hwy 100 to Waha for everything better, but I wouldnt slam New China if I had to go again, like Tuesdays when Waha is closed. Bathrooms could use a remodel too.

After COVID it went down hill. Quality changed and they fact that they use disposable plates and why not adds to the cheapness. We used to go all the time and not anymore.

Being from Illinois I came here during the COVID closures for some tasty Chinese food. As with any buffet it's not bad if you go in with lower expectations. Would go again.

I wasn't impressed with their buffet. I only had fish , sweet & sour chicken & dessert. The fish was good , the fried rice was shrimp only (no plain fried rice), the cookies were good but the mini bunt cake (red) was stale. I treated with my grandson so I just ate a little. I won't come back

One of my favorite places to eat but they are expensive! I have a whole family and always spend over $100 on dinner. I love the unlimited crawfish. I think that with the pricey menu that it should have more options.

After a long day at work, my husband and I were trying to figure out what to eat. We decided to stop by New China Buffet to save ourselves the extra 5-minute drive to our usual spot at Lovers Lane Sushi Bar & Buffet, a decision we immediately regretted.

The food was incredibly disappointing. Most of it tasted old and stale, like it had been refrigerated without a lid or deep-fried multiple times. The buffet selection was minimal, and shockingly, there was no pizza available for the kids, something you typically expect at family-friendly buffets.

What made the experience feel even cheaper was the fact that everything was served using disposable styrofoam plates, bowls, and utensils. It felt more like a takeout joint than a dine-in buffet. This, combined with the poor food quality, made the whole visit feel low-effort and uninviting.

The clams were rubbery and stretched like chewing gum—possibly undercooked, definitely unappetizing. The crab salad had that unpleasant “refrigerator taste,” and the crab rangoons were just okay at best, though I’ve had much better even from other buffets.

We truly wish we had just taken the short drive to Lovers Lane. Even if the meal here were free, we wouldn’t come back. I don’t like being overly harsh, but I hope this feedback is taken as constructive criticism. There’s a lot of room for improvement, and diners deserve better.

Food was disgusting, it was very dry and sitting for along time. I would not recommend at all
