Bartenders scooping ice with my water glass is quite concerning.

This was a bright spot in our disastrous day of travel. All the food we got was delicious. The drinks were well made. Amanda was wonderful, great service. Would definitely recommend!

Nōnna Bartolotta’s – Milwaukee Airport, Concourse D
July 2025

– A comforting Italian layover with just enough charm to make you forget you’re in an airport.

After a flight and before a bus ride to Chicago, I needed something hearty and hassle-free. Nōnna Bartolotta’s delivered just that—quick seating, clean surroundings, and a dish that held me over without weighing me down.

Chicken & Pesto Farfalle – $26
🌟 3.5/5
A generous bowl of pasta with plenty of cheese and a pesto that leaned creamy and satisfying. It wasn’t the most seasoned dish I’ve had, but it was filling and warm.

Ambiance – 5/5
For an airport restaurant, this place had options: bar seating, hallway tables, and a peek into the open kitchen (which I always love). It was busy, but not chaotic, and everything felt clean and well-managed.

Service – 4/5
I was seated immediately and my check came right on time. The server wasn’t chatty or overly informative, but they kept things moving—and that’s exactly what I needed in transit.

If you’re passing through Milwaukee and need a quick Italian fix before hitting the road, Nōnna Bartolotta’s is a reliable stop. No frills, no fuss—just a plate of pasta, pizza, etc before the next leg of the journey. 🧳🍝

Seriously dont do it, grab a sandwich at the bagel place instead. I was hungry and tricked by this fact. Bland pasta, bland chicken, bad pesto, old tomatoes. Really a sad affair. Definitely not worth it the $38 I paid for a soda and pasta plate.

Not a fun place to stop while at MKE airport. Service is terrible if you're at a table and mediocre if at the bar. Food is okay but nothing you're missing if you don't eat here.

I came here at noon on a Sunday. I got sat immediately. Food took a while to come out. My pesto pasta with chicken tasted great though. Given that it’s in the airport it was expensive. The sandwiches are more fairly priced.

The restaurant was half full, yet I had to wait almost 5 minutes for anyone to seat me. As I was waiting on my food, I could see one of the cooks eating food in the kitchen while holding his phone. I ordered a meatball panini. A panini is a sandwich if I am not mistaken. What was served was three giant meatballs served on top of what looked like a hot dog bun. So I had to fork the meatballs instead of eating a sandwich.

The server was far too busy chatting with employees to check on my food. When she brought the bill, she dropped off the handheld payment system and left. While I was leaving she was chatting and joking with another staff member. I couldn’t imagine how this place operates when it’s busy. Check this restaurant off my list of places to not get a bite.

Plastic bag tie was found baked into our pepperoni Pizza. Server didn't even apologize for it, seemed annoyed we even pointed it out. Manager took it off the bill.

I tried to eat lunch here, and the key word is tried. I stood in front of the wait to be seated sign for 15 minutes and made direct eye contact with 3 servers........and no one came to seat me or the couple waiting behind me. The place was only half full. I'll just assume they hit their sales quota for the day and didn't need any more business. Seriously, if you need to eat at the MKE airport, you are better off eating before going through security at the D Concourse because this place is the best option, but only if they want your business!

Good minestrone soup, but no crackers or bread served with it or available on request. Weird.

Whenever I have a little extra time before a flight, I grab a marguerita pizza. The prices are what I expect for airport food but as airport food goes, this is pretty good. The staff is friendly.

We had an early flight (6am), so after a 2 hour drive to the airport, we decided to grab a quick bite to eat..

They had Lipton sweet tea, which my wife loves at Nonnas to go, so we stopped there.. Ordered 1 ham and cheese and 1 sausage and cheese croissants and a bottle of tea and water...

$46.00 is what the total was... For two mediocre sandwiches.. I think we were both in shock over the price.

Now, if they had actually had prices for the sandwiches warning or preparing me for the sticker shock..

I could have got two of these at Burger King for $5.. There is absolutely zero reason to be charging around $17 a sandwich..

When we got to Charlotte, we checked prices, and the average price was $6 to $7. Same when we arrived in Tampa..

If you are looking for a place to stop and eat, just pass this place right on by.

I would recommend if anyone from the restaurant reads these reviews have prices listed for things.. The overall experience was awful and wasn't a good start to a vacation.
