Oof, the change from a variety of local small restaurants to just "Christopher's" is a massive letdown. What was once a great space to meet up with people and spend hours at is now a very uncomfortable sit down restaurant. Whatever fun relaxed atmosphere that was there has been sucked dry with a very sterile environment of shoddy tables and mediocre food. Tables are awkwardly put in rooms where unique food stands once were, the stage for music can't be seen by the majority of tables, and for there being only 2 other tables in the whole place it somehow took over 30 minutes to get the drinks you ordered. As a great man once said, "that's a no for me, dog".

The atmosphere is a great vibe… went on an evening they had live music… and the singer CoCo was a great talent… the staff was nice and prompt.. but I must say … the shrimp and grits were not so good…and the spicy sweet potatoes are not that good as well… I’m gonna go back and give it another shot … with a different menu selection… because despite the dishes it is a very nice place to chill

North Avenue Market is a true hidden gem in our community. As a family-owned establishment, it exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it one of my go-to spots for meeting friends or escaping the house to get some work done. The food here is absolutely delicious, with a diverse menu that never disappoints. While I don’t drink, I've heard great things about their drink selection from friends.

The servers and staff are always friendly, contributing to the overall inviting environment. One of the standout features is the small stage for performances, adding a lively and cultural touch to the market. Though I haven’t yet experienced their event nights, it’s on my list for this summer.

The setup downstairs, known as the Garden Level, is particularly impressive. It offers a relaxed seating area, pop-up spaces, a cocktail bar, conference/classroom facilities, and office spaces. It’s perfect for a cool work-from-home vibe, even though my career doesn’t allow for remote work.

Overall, North Avenue Market is a fantastic spot that caters to a variety of needs and occasions. Don’t miss out on this charming community hub!

Love the revamp to Christopher’s. As a Southern transplant, I was a little skeptical going in, but everything we had was phenomenal. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. And of course the drinks are some of the best in Milwaukee. What a gem in Washington Heights!

I love this venue. Unfortunately they demand you to pay a gratuity (is that really a tip???) so when we sat at the bar, we waited a good 15 minutes someone gave us menus. No one came back. We asked the young man that was handing menus out if he could get the bartender we still waited another five minutes I was served Prosecco, which is a bubbly wine bubble, he never came back and asked how our cake was. If he was busy that would be one thing, but the greatest thing was the music I would come back just to listen to the music wouldn’t order the wine, but maybe we would get a soda and an appetizer if someone will come in and take our order. Ridiculous that gratuities are forced when they are by definition something given voluntarily or beyond obligation usually for some service. You should voluntarily give a tip when you have good service. I’m a very good tipper, but I feel like you stole five dollars from me as I’d have only given 10-15% because of the bad service and flat wine. We had to beg to check out

I held my daughter's graduation dinner in the lower level of the North Ave Market. It was amazing. The management and staff were super helpful and accommodating. The space was well arranged and clean. The cost was very affordable and I would definitely recommend. Unfortunately, we did not use their catering service, but we will in the future. As I will definitely be a repeat customer.
