Oakland Gyros (Oakland Ave)

There’s literally no need to explain one of the greatest most authentic places in the world for Greek food. The flavor is some of the greatest I’ve ever experienced in my life.

I had never had Greek food before but I DEFINITELY will again! My husband and I tried the Classic Gyro with extra sauce and the spinach pie 😋 all of it was fantastic and we will definitely be back sooner than later ☺️

I hate to leave this review but its necessary. About 2 weeks ago I ordered a gyro dinner and shortly after experienced really bad diarrhea. I thought maybe I ate something throughout the day that made my stomach hurt and never considered Oakland Gyro to mess my stomach up. Fast forward to yesterday's events. My husband wanted to get some gyros so we went and got 2 gyro dinners. Atmost immediately we both experienced diarrhea and bad stomach cramps. I told him about my experience 2 weeks ago, and now we both are experiencing the same symptoms. IDK what is going on with this restaurant but someone is being unsanitary and that's not safe. Luckily we didn't have to go to the hospital. Hopefully they get enough complaints to check the food handling. Something is wrong. How me and my husband had the exact same symptoms after eating from this restaurant.

Great place to sit and unwind after work with some delicious Greek food. The gyro meat was not dry and everything tasted delicious.

This is always a must stop when I am even remotely close. Let's be honest I will even drive the hour when I really want it!
My go to has always been the chicken Gyro Platter with rice & gravy. It's a huge portion so good enough to share if your willing! And always get extra taziki sauce!!

Average food. Insane fast service! Average prices. Clean.
Impossible to find parking.
Ghetto at night. Il go mid day when work schedules to busy to cook. Comfy seating thats usually clean compared to most places this busy.

Easily is the best restaurant on the Eastside and maybe even Milwaukee in general. Been coming for years and even though I don’t live as close as I used to I’d still rather drive here for gyros than anywhere else. The late night staff are the absolute best there is.
