Easily our favorite spot in Milwaukee! I love their rotating menu and the creative food fusion dishes — everything always feels fresh, unique, and full of flavor. The drinks are not only tasty but beautifully crafted, making the whole experience feel special. And their chili crunch deviled eggs is a must-try every time! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and it’s one of those places you can’t wait to come back to.

We were so lucky to get tickets for this year’s Halloween six course menu based on the Goddess Baba Yaga! We were welcomed in with a cocktail, a beet deviled egg, pickled mushrooms, and a savory cracker. Highlights of the meal included pine cone jam on the fanciest ham and cheese sandwich, a large plate of stuffed quail, the delicious pierogis, potato salad with rich smoked trout, and the Baba Yaga’s hut cake, a cheesecake with tart cranberry sauce. The owners truly love Halloween and it is so fun to see the decorations and costumes. We will absolutely back for both other Halloween dinners, as well as a nice date night. Everyone at our table- besides my husband and I- had been to Odd Duck and were singing their praises of their deviled eggs and unique cocktails.

Finally made it here after hearing its a must eats. Definitely lives up to the hype. Good for small groups and sharing dishes. Each dish had such flavorful bites. Some spicy, some salty, some sweet. And save room for dessert. Sat at the bar, had great service. Very friendly. No aura of too good for you. Decent french wine on happy hour menu. Went on a Tues and easy time getting seated at 6pm. Got busier as it got later.

Really great experience at odd duck for dinner on a Saturday night. The service was prompt and catered to my cousins food allergies.
I enjoyed most of the dishes. The flavor on the squash and the duck pasta was wonderful , but I will say the filling for the pasta was a bit tough and not melt in your mouth. The cheesecake was good, but I probably would not order it again. I am happy to return to this restaurant and try other dishes!

Came in for my birthday, and was overall pleased. We ordered the scallion pancakes, the crispy potatoes, the cheese curds, the Korean fried chicken, and the white fish.
Although the flavor of the potatoes were great, I would not have said crispy, as they were whole, unsmashed baby potstoes. Still good though!
Cheese curds were absolutely fantastic. They came with a mushroom based sauce. The flavors were unique and the execution was great.
Scallion pancakes were also insanely good. Its served with a mushroom salad of sorts and chili oil tahini dip. Highly recommend.
White fish was also great! Good smokey flavor in the wild rice and good sear on the fish. A little dry, but forgivable for a thin filet of white fish.
Here’s where I was totally thrown off guard. The fried chicken in my opinion was inedible and i had to send it back, which is something I’ve never done before. Really dry and tough, but what really ruined it completely was the fish sauce. The fishy aroma was so strong it made the chicken taste almost rancid.
However! I do plan on coming back and overall loved the experience with the exception of the chicken.

They were able to accommodate us on a walk in wait list which was great. Was excited to try based on all the positive reviews. Ordered 3 veggie and 2 meats, beets, mushrooms, squash, lamb and chicken. The veggie dishes were good but the mushroom dish was over fried with a dry seasoning on top which didn’t care for. The lamb dish was tasty but the lamb was dry and overcooked. Same for the fried chicken, was so dry and over cooked. The flavor profiles for the dishes were unique but overall execution was lacking. For the price point I would expect better. At this time, would either avoid those dishes or eat elsewhere. Perhaps on weekends quality dips with how busy it gets, I’m not sure.

Went with family, so didn’t have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised! About half the menu is marked as vegan option, and imo about 75% of that is already vegan, so didn’t notice any major differences. My favorites were the Mala cauliflower scallion pancakes and the fried oyster mushrooms. And I was super excited to have a great vegan dessert option! Cashew cheesecake was incredible. Great cocktails too. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-17
Our first time at Odd Duck and the OD crew knocked it out of the park. Warm, friendly welcome upon arrival, excellent service (laid-back/friendly yet attentive and well-timed) and the food is creative, tasty and fun to share. The four of us shared an order of the olives (crazy big but juicy plump and tasty olives), spiced nuts and chicken liver mousse to start. We then moved on a symphony of plates and each and every one of them was delicious. It's rare to go out to eat and not have one clunker, but OD managed to make each and every plate memorable! The tomato and peach salad was outstanding, the charred broccolini was spicy and smoky, the fried perch was light, crispy with a delectable spread, the piri piri chicken was a touch spicy yet cool and sweet/sour and deemed the two favorites: duck confit tortellini and the beef short ribs. Kudos to the OD chef and team - beautiful restaurant and outstanding, creative food. Keep it up and we can't wait to come back!
While visiting Milwaukee last week, we were so happy we found Odd Duck. We sat at the bar and received wonderful service. My husband and I enjoyed the Asian pancake, the tortellini, and the steak. The flavors in each dish were thoughtful, sometimes bold, and always delicious. If I’m ever back in Milwaukee, I will definitely be eating here again.

Amazing food and staff 😊 Great menu
We had an enjoyable dinner here. We had heard much about this place and we are happy we could make it for dinner during our short stay in Milwaukee. We ordered the board with cheese and charcuterie, the oyster mushrooms, the hamachi and two desserts. The hamachi dish and desserts were delicious. The board offered a great variety of cheese, salami and pate. The oyster mushrooms, while tasty, were much too salty. We opted to eat at one of their tables outside. It was much quieter.
Ughhh the food? So good. We stumbled upon this gem last minute while making dinner plans and were so happy we did. My parter and I loved it. The food and drinks were tasty. The crudo was our absolute favorite. The short ribs were good. The oysters were salty and packed with flavor. We’ve never had oysters that salty before and it was a pleasant surprise. I could’ve eaten two dozen to myself. If you’re in Milwaukee, odd duck is a must try.
Love the Odd Duck. Perfect spot for farm fresh meals prepared from local sourced goods. Top notch!
My friends and I had the most delightful and luxurious dinner. We stayed for over 3 hours and never felt rushed. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I will dream about the fried oyster mushrooms for weeks. The maple creme brûlée was exceptional.
Our server Andrew was excellent. He went above and beyond answering our questions. He was an absolute delight.
