Slim & Christian were great bartenders... PROFESSIONALS! Slim gave us a shot of Killepitsch... A liqueur that is better than Jagermeister. The pretzel was insane! The beer was beyond amazing. If you come to Milwaukee, come here and be ready to drink some amazing beer!

This restaurant oozes with old world charm! Our waitress Bri was amazing - fun, friendly and attentive even on a busy Saturday night. The food was absolutely delicious. We split the OGBH platter and everything on that plate was spot on. Tasty Hefeweizen! Must try the apple strudel - it was just the right level of sweet with fresh whipped cream and warm gooey apples. Can't wait for another trip to Milwaukee to return to this gem.

We ordered and two tables were served before us that had ordered after us. The wait staff avoided us after we asked on our food until it was done. They comped the meal, but it wasn't very good. Just boring flavors and cold fries.

Pretty decent joint with a traditional German atmosphere.
I could see this place doing well during Oktoberfest.
The bartender could have been friendlier or more talkative.

This place looked like a nice spot at first glance, but there is one server and one bartender for the whole spot.

On top of that, my whole family orders schnitzel and when they came out, they came out without any mushroom gravy. When we asked they said they were “out of gravy”, yet nobody ever told us before we ordered that they would not have the gravy on the meal. The whole meal ended up being super dry and definitely not worth its price. I expected more from hofbrau house since we traveled from Florida to try it.

Avoid this spot if possible. I’m sorry if you chose to eat here and experienced the same.

We stopped here before a concert and loved the atmosphere and the service. The giant pretzel was good and so we're the beers. My only complaint is don't serve fries with the snitzle. It should have the German potato salad or spetzl. Next time I will ask to upgrade

I’ve never been treated so badly by staff anywhere, ever. We were a group of eight on Monday June 30th, about 3 PM. Had a drink at the bar while waiting for a table to clear. Bartender did “cheers” with us as she downed a shot. When we got seated we noticed they had an e-commerce service that you could scan and place your order. Since we had six separate checks and it appeared they were short staffed we thought this would be a good way to order. As soon as the first order was entered the bar tender came to the head of our table and shouted “I’m Here, I’m Here” scolding us for using the app. She was very rude, walked away and slammed the little cubby hole door that goes back to the bar.

AJ (the cook?) brought our food out. He too was very rude saying he doesn’t know who ordered what and began piling food on the table. A little while later he brought out our last food order and threw the plate on the table knocking over a mustard bottle then just walked away.

No apologies for their behavior from anyone. We were all just stunned.

This place checks all the boxes on everything from the food to the people. This is a must
