Horrible smell. We had heard good things about Onesto and were excited to try it. The food service was excellent. From what we could taste, the food was very good. Unfortunately, during our meal a noxious, chemical odor started to waft through the restaurant. It was the kind of bad smell that gives you a headache and makes you feel a little lightheaded and nauseated. Our server apologized for the smell but did not seem to be able to do anything about it. We rushed to leave. Very disappointing that this horrible smell spoiled what could have been a wonderful dinner.

Perfect date night out or with the girls! Each time I've eaten at Onesto I leave excited to come back. Extremely knowledgeable staff and very accommodating for gluten allergies. Took my mom and sister in law here and they can't wait to come back. I will always recommend this place for great food, service, and atmosphere! 100/10!

Everything is just mediocre and overpriced. Service is just overwrought but also underwhelming at the same time. The menu gets sold to you as if you're Cipriani but the food tastes like Chef Boyardee. Table wasn't ready despite being first rez of the day; rez was made day ahead of time. Food didn't come out until an hour after we sat. The pacing was entirely off. 15 minutes between bringing water and coming back to take drink orders. I guess the place is fine, it's just not that good. And the prices are way beyond what quality of the experience.

A group of approx 10 of us stopped for a cocktail prior to a wedding at a different venue in the neighborhood. We all had $15+ cocktails and were in the bar area not more than an hour, towards the back. We were approached at least 4 times by staff that we were basically “in the way” and made to feel very unwelcome. We were not rowdy or rude. Cute place but terrible customer service, I doubt any of us will be back

Took my girlfriend to Onesto for her birthday dinner. We started with the blood orange mule and black cherry old fashioned. Both drinks were really good the old fashioned was strong! We then had the meat and cheese board for our appetizer. All the accoutrements were so fresh and the sweet drop peppers were something I had never tried before. For entrees I got the Gnocchi with chicken and she had the Carbonara. One of the best meals I have eaten in a long, especially since moving to Milwaukee. I would highly recommend Onesto for a date night or special occasion if you’re in the Milwaukee area! 10/10 experience from start to finish.

Their menu is small but mighty, always featuring excellent new options that keep us coming back. Everything from the warm bread to the yummy dessert was perfect! Onesto NEVER disappoints. There are a lot of great options in MKE to eat - Onesto is on my repeat list!
Love this place, always a go to for Italian that is very consistent! Their vodka sauce pasta is great and they have great drink selection. Th vibe is always lively and fun in a historic building.

Our server was fantastic. I picked 4 wines I was interested in and she broke down each of them giving me a small sample to decide. Very knowledgeable! Food was excellent, we had the pumpkin soup (yum!) lamb, short rib, salmon, and a pasta dish. Dessert were good as well. Love the atmosphere but this time I was on the end seat by the bar and front door. Ppl waiting for their tables flooded this area and I was bumped consistently. Nothing that would ever detour me to sit there again for a great time, just a mention that this place fills up 🤗

This was the first time we have dined at Onesto. We had a great experience. The menu had a good variety of choices, but not too many that it was hard to make a choice. It is clearly very popular as the place was full (glad we had a reservation, would highly recommend), but ambient noise levels were reasonable. We were still able to hold a pleasant conversation at our table and enjoy the evening. Because we visited on the weekend, parking (for a fee) was super convenient directly next to the restaurant. Look forward to dining here again and trying out other items on the menu. Sorry no pics, I'm not sure empty plates pics would be too helpful.😉

We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting or smoother experience for our wedding reception! From start to finish, the Onesto team went above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect. The venue is wonderful, the event space has everything that you need, and every detail felt thoughtfully handled.
Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was, how great the atmosphere of Onesto felt, and how seamless everything went. The staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely kind — they made us feel so supported and relaxed throughout the entire process.
