The warm mushroom salad was great! My friend had the seafood soup and said was delicious. server was nice and allowed us to sit and chat.
Food and waitress were amazing! Initial experience at arrival left a lot to be desired. There were four hostesses and they struggled. This is not who you should have greeting customers. We had a reservation and I intentionally did not make it for a high top in the bar. They went to seat us at the first high top by the door squished against the backs of another table and in a noisy high traffic area. I immediately stated that we did not reserve a high top and asked if we could be moved. This request was ignored even though there were several other empty tables. When my husband then requested again and pointed to a specific table they focused instead on scrambling to add place settings to our current table. The waitress was going to pour water and we asked her to hold off and let her know we were still hoping to get moved. All requests ignored and employees just kept pushing the process forward. We never even received enough menus. We have had a good experience at your restaurant several times, but this was the first experience for our friends. It was rather embarrassing that this was their experience after we hyped up how great of a place it was. Once we got our food the dinner was fine and the waitress was nice but out of all our visits this was very disappointing. You would really benefit from having more competent hosts as that sets the tone for the whole experience and they did not set it well at all.
We were Milwaukee tourists who found Onesto online and liked the menu. We come from a city with a vibrant Italian distinct. Nonetheless, we felt that Onesto was superb! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
I've eaten here several times and am never disappointed. The pasta dishes are divine. The wine list is excellent. The service is superior. Onesto is a must stop in Milwaukee.
Always a wonderful experience. Great ambiance, efficient service and high quality food. Tried the gnocchi for the first time - amazing pillows of love.
Our meal at Onesto was outstanding! Our group of 6 ordered 4 different pasta dishes and 1 salmon entree and everyone loved their food. The pasta was fresh and, when mixed with the additional ingredients, made for the most delicious meals. Our top entrees were the Campanelle and Fusilli. The salmon was cooked perfectly and made for a lighter option that paired well with white wine. They had a fairly extensive wine list that satisfied all diners in our group. The kids were thrilled with their meals of pasta, red sauce and meatballs. Excellent service! The decor was tasteful and elevated our dining experience. Our only complaint was the noise level was fairly loud and it made it hard to converse from one end of the table to another. We will definitely dine at Onesto again!
I usually get the pasta at Onesto because it is SOOO good but this time I went for the short ribs and they were amazing!
Great Italian fare - perfect spot for a business lunch or sidewalk nosh weather permitting!

Excellent food, very pleasant and welcoming service; and atmosphere. Nice variety of options on the menu, including drinks and wine. They were out of something we really wanted (even at 4:15PM) ...and that was a bummer but everything else was great. Pasta cooked nicely (not mushy or over cooked) sauces were great (marinara a bit on the sweet side, but if San Marzano tomatoes are used it can be that way) , vodka sauce was very tasty and had a nice blend of spices that I liked. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you mostly pay for (I still can't get over paying more than $6-8 for a glass of wine ANYWHERE in the US) -- in Europe it's about that even in Michelin Star Restaurants. We cook at home and can usually make meals that are as good or better than in most restaurants, and were not disappointed. Usually going out to eat is a huge let down lately and we were not let down here :).
Stopped in for a drink and a nosh with sister and niece (I'm visiting from NY-not NYC-upstate thank you very much). Seated at the bar, we watched the mixologist work his magick with a Cucumber Cooler and Hugo Spritz. Me, I had rye whisky, neat, single pour. Pick your brand, they had the good stuff. Would I go again. Yes, yes I would the next time I'm in town.

We were in town from Chicago for the Cyndi Lauper Farwell tour and decided to check this place and we are so glad we did. I only wish I had taken photos of what we ordered to share between 3 people.
Everything sounded so good we wanted to try as much as we could. They also let us know that all the pasta and sauces are made fresh daily in house.
Everything and I mean everything was delicious and brought hot and fresh by warm and friendly staff. We ordered the Sautéed Calamari, crab cake and the Buratta to share. Then we ordered the wood mushroom salad and the Bolognese to share as well. We Finished our dinner with Espresso Martinis.
I know i keep saying everything but Everything was plated exceptionally appealing and tasted fantastic. The almosphere was warm and cozy. We were not rushed at all and we lingered while sipping the martinis. We would definitely eat here again when back in town.

After tax and tips we paid $73 CAN for two glasses of wine, some focaccia with olive oil, and some mozzarella with tomato and cucumber antipasto. The food was good, and the atmosphere was good, I took off one star due to the high cost.

We came to Onesto for my birthday and left completely disappointed. Our waitress gave us the bare minimum attention and made us feel like an afterthought the entire night—maybe because we were one of the younger couples there. She gave us updates, but they meant nothing when the food took over an hour to arrive and still wasn’t worth the high price. The whole experience felt cold, rushed, and definitely not worth what we paid. Won’t be returning.
Fantastic food, atmosphere and Employees. Our food was delicious from our salads to our main entrees. Our sever was friendly and attentive but not overbearing! They even gave us a free dessert because we mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary!
We opted for outdoor seating had a busy time so obviously this added to the noise factor. the sauce on my ravioli was a very light lemon taste, and it was clear the pasta was homemade, cut thin and delicious. my friend appreciated that Ernesto carries one of her favorite red wines. Pessimist. our server was helpful and especially appreciated that he encouraged us not to feel rushed, even though I know the reservations were likely stacked up after our early seating. I would definitely recommend it. It seemed a nice ambience inside as well..
