Our food was very good, even for the price. I felt bad because our table of six was quite loud and we were placed in the middle of more intimate servers. I feel like that could have been better executed. Our service was mid at best, but given that there was an automatic gratuity added to our bill this made sense, and not in the best way. The restaurant felt very understaffed and while everything was delicious, we were often left for some time and drinks were often forgotten.

Amazing dinner with family of 4! Service was some of the best I have had in a long time. Daisy took amazing care of our family. Restraint was super comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Food was served at all the correct temperatures and tasted amazing. Three steaks and the salmon special! Oysters and lobster bisque were 10/10. To go boxes were even marked with what is in each one along with a Thank You written in pen. I have been here only twice and each time was greatly impressed. I highly recommend Rare!

I can't tell you how fabulous our Christmas Eve dinner was. Everything from the ambiance to the cocktails, bread, appetizers, amazing Wagyu steaks and bananas foster presentation table-side. Our server, Raj (I hope I'm spelling that right) and the rest of the staff were attentive and efficient and very friendly. We had the best experience ever and will definitely be back!

Our experience was fair. For as few people that were at the restaurant on a Tuesday our seating was terrible and the service had a lot to be desired. The food was good but that was overshadowed by the experience. I would not go back here.

A beautiful upscale steakhouse with an excellent reputation...change their amazing menu 2 discontinue using iceberg lettuce on the wedge & replaced it with....CABBAGE...disturbingly bad flavor...& also discontinued their renowned pop-overs..for toasted BREAD? Seriously...a plate of Kroger bread toasted? Such a shame...after many years, we won't B back...it's a sad expensive place & someone made bad decisions...👎🏻

This used to be a great place for happy hour and for dinner. I was there two weeks ago and it felt like it was a restaurant in its death throes. They no longer had popovers (one of the reasons to go here), our server was new and poorly trained, there was no market fish, and there were only three tables in the restaurant occupied while their was a drunk man at the bar wearing all blue sweatpants being really loud. The broccolini was really bad. The steak was average, but I expected better for the same price as other milwaukee steakhouses. They must have some sort of deal with their landlord because this place isn’t it and has not been for several years. Hopefully they can turn it around and get back to their former glory when it first opened.

The steak was not that impressive, especially for the price. The presentation of the steak wasn't taken into account. The sides were sub par. The service was whatever. If you want to get a superior steak go to lake park bistro. And tip the waiters there more than 25% because that is how a restaurant wins. Anyway this got too long. Hope this helps in your discovery of the restaurant you are looking for to take your hot date. Your welcome. Ask for the window seats at lake park bistro. The lake looks stunning from that side. Stunning.

Horrible food experience. We have been coming to this restaurant for years. Always a favorite spot for enjoying a special occasion. First of all, they no longer serve their wonderful popovers, that made this restaurant special. The lobster bisque was so salty, I could not eat it. Their version of a wedge salad changed dramatically. It is made with a slice of fried cabbage, with a lot of various toppings that retracted from the overall taste. My husband had their small filet and it was very small. To compensate for our poor dinner, we had the bananas foster, which our waiter must have mentioned 6-7 times. It was good. But nothing to write home about. This was a very disappointing dinner and explains why there was only 3 other tables occupied in the restaurant.
The manager is very nice and very considerate & I recommend for most people to try the Tomahawk steak

We dined in the lovely "library" room. But this elegant environment was spoiled by the raucous music we had to listen to. You should give us classical fare — Mozart, for example!

I was there last Friday for an engagement party and it was one of the worst experience, staffs not friendly at all. They all walk around with a sad face and not once the server asks us if everything is going okay, they knew it was also a birthday celebration and we didn’t get a happy birthday nether. On top of that the food was not good and they included so much tip into the bill. If you include the tip in the bill now wonder why the staff care zero about service since they getting their money anyways. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The wait staff was competent but the management and operations is a nightmare. - Nobody at host desk to greet us, waiting for multiple minutes. - Entrees brought before appetizer (I blame operations, not our waitress) - Drinks never brought until we mentioned that we never got them. This was not on our waitress, the manager offered it and then never followed through. They recovered in the end, but it was extremely disappointing from the start. Will never return or recommend.
