First time I had it, it seemed a little salty. Second time, it was savory and delicious.

My husband used to work in the area and he wanted to show me his old stomping grounds so we came in Thursday night. Girl behind the counter was a great conversationalist and we enjoyed her stories. She kept us company while dealing with a young female customer at the register who wasn’t in the best of mood and a bit verbally aggressive, but the girl handled the situation and kept up her talk with us. Music was a bit loud, but it did not hinder our enjoyment and a pleasant time at Real Chili. Thanks!

I stopped in a few nights ago, the lady behind the counter was personable, talkative and proactive and went out of her way to refill my drink without me having me to ask her to. Felt like I was having a home cooked meal rather than dining at a restaurant

Well I went to this real chili at around 3:30 today and the young lady that works there gave me the most prejudice feeling about her and her attitude towards me so to my people 😭 do not eat at this restaurant to all my black people they don't want us there as a matter of fact let's have a set in

When you walk in you are met with strong smell of toilet cleaners. The food is oversalted and for the effort they put into it (literally one huge bawl of meat that they assemble onto a plate with different sides) this costs too much. You literally get canned beans. Maybe it would have tasted for a two star rating if the smell of chlorine didn't fill your nostrils.

Great place but ruined a bit by the rude person working there.

I was very surprised at the quality of the Chilli here. This solidly went into my top 100 meals I have ever had in my life so far. Will be coming back.

When they’re real busy, they’re rude. They will mess up your order and then argue with you “saying that’s not what you asked for”
When they’re slow meaning one customer sitting down in the dining area they may get your order right and they may not be as rude. The older short lady with the glasses, I have to be descriptive because they never wear a name tag. She will literally wait on someone else who looks like her before waiting on anyone that looks like me you do with that information what you want!
And I’ve went back a couple of times just to make sure I wasn’t Trippin and then I sent My Daughter there today and she said the exact same thing. I didn’t mention anything to her. She said they’re rude when they’re busy and that’s sad.

Genuinely the best chili in the world. I travel from Colorado a few times each year... And I always stop here for a meal.

One of the best chili dogs I've ever had. Kevin, the gentleman working, was a delight.

Great - as usual! Can’t beat the savory flavor, heartiness, portions and value. Same yummy recipe at both locations. The only hassle with downtown/ east wells location is scarcity of street parking after the recent streetscape renovation that added bike lanes and other stuff but only left a total of 4 public spaces for the entire block. Pitiful and unfair to these merchants.
