Visited a friend in Milwaukee and this hot dog stand was one of the "must see" locations, second only to the art museum (or possibly the other way around?). It was worth the hype! No bland boiled-water dogs here, I got a greasy savory bite of grilled sausage with a nice snappy casing every time. The guys who run the cart are hilariously personable also. Best cheap lunch I've had in awhile, if I lived here I'd definitely be a regular!

My 9 year old son said it was the best thing he has ever eaten in his life that wasn’t candy. I agree. He had a beef hot dog & I had a sausage. It was amazing. I recommend stopping & getting a hot dog from these fun

Love these guys, I used to work in an office overlooking the corner, friendly and fun banter come prepared, ketchup, ask for red, mustard, you got it yellow, consider getting done Brooklyn on your sausage, it's a spicy concoction with onions red sauce, red pepper. 15 years after we left downtown, I still make the pilgrimage entry time I'm in town, and damned if he doesn't remember my order "Hungarian, well, white, Brooklyn"

Hardworking attitude and customer service is a first for this food stand. Be prepared to wait at peak hours. Waiting for your lunch to be prepared correctly is what theses guys should be known for. A gem for the downtown area.

When I get a chance to work downtown, I always try and get my lunch at Real Dogs food cart on Wisconsin and Water. The dogs are delicious and the guys go above and beyond to give you an excellent customer experience!! I'm sad to see them gone for the season, but I'm looking forward to their return in the spring next year and I'm honored to have gotten their last dog of the season! If you haven't yet, check them out on Hulu's Taste the Nation!

I’ve been coming to this spot since the mid 90s and as far as the food here goes, nothings changed it tastes just as good as when i first went there as a dhl driver . They always remember me even til this day . I always order 2 usingers grilled light kraut, brooklyn onions, relish, stadium sauce, double ketchup, mustard, and some relish. Keep up the good work guys

Knowledgeable about whatever is cooking, with quality sausages down the entire menu, this is the best dog stand in the city. Stay awhile and listen to their stories, these guys know the city and they know their food. They’re also on episode 2 of Taste the Nation, you can see their passion. Absolutely will go back again and again.

I was in town for business and stopped here for a really quick lunch. I had them set me up with their favorite. It was a Portuguese sausage, and it was out of this world. They wanted me to report back with how I liked it, but I didn't have time so here I am. Very friendly guys, good price, great food.

Great food and great guys! They remember me and my order! Food is under $10 for lunch, which is unheard of in downtown Milwaukee.

Real Dogs has become an increasingly regular treat for me on my way to work. A great selection of premium sausages that varies from day to day (or maybe it just varies by the time I reach them in the afternoon) served up fast by a pair of gregarious guys. It's just a shame Milwaukee's weather keeps them from being out every day.

We happened to walk by this stand and decided to stop for a final taste of Milwaukee before heading back to San Francisco. We couldn't be happier with the friendly service, the reasonable price ($5), and the delicious Brat with sauerkraut! Really topped off our trip to Milwaukee! Thank you!
