Servers enjoy taking to each other more than patrons. Food is not to be desired. The place was empty and we were never asked if we wanted another drink after the first.

Don’t skip the bar. Best drinks I have had in the while. Food is very good as well but the bar is not to be missed.

We had a surprise 40th birthday party in the upper bar and patio. Sandy the Director of Events was fantastic to work with. She responded quickly and was very accommodating. Everything was setup perfectly for the event. The food was a hit and the atmosphere on the patio was great. Would highly recommend for any party.

Great food and drinks at reasonable prices. Definitely try the soup and fish sandwich! Thursday is trivia night and it’s a great time.

New to Milwaukee since last summer. Red Lion is my favorite comfort bar. I bring my family and friends here every time they visit. Amazing drinks. Amazing Scottish eggs. Great manager George

Nice little British pub downtown in a nice neighborhood. Seem a little understaffed which shows on the weekends. Burger was good

I’ve been a frequent customer of Red Lion over the past 4 years and have always tried to give it the benefit of the doubt because the vibes there are amazing. However, each time I’ve been in the past 2 years (which is probably 15+ times), it has gotten worse and worse. The service is so slow, wait staff is not attentive, often times can see servers standing behind the bar doing nothing. The food is down right terrible. I have tried just about everything on the menu and the only thing I would even think about getting again is the fish and chips. How do you make such awful chicken tenders? The grilled cheese I had was rock solid, literally could not even rip it in half. Soup was ice cold, actually repulsive. The rueben has no flavor at all.
It is so frustrating because my friends and I want to enjoy this place but it has become very disappointing. Would not recommend this place unless you are going for just drinks and not needing attentive wait staff.

During our visit, they were missing a really long list of ingredients such that we had to change our table order twice. But the server was so gracious and forthcoming it didn't feel like a real issue.

Ultimately didn't cause too much disruption, because the food was still hearty and comforting (though mostly unremarkable), and the beer so affordable and delightful. The pasty absolutely hit the spot, so on-the-mark I forgot to take a photo of it, it was gone so fast. Chicken was pretty meh for the price though.

Really weird choice of music for an English Pub though.

As a soccer fan who used to frequent the red Lion each weekend for matches…WOW this place has fallen from grace. It’s been a few years because we moved out of town but the breakfast was absolute disappointing rip off. $17 for a cold English breakfast which was honestly a pathetic excuse for a real English breakfast??? Get out of here. Avo toast was also very disappointing for $14 and tasted like it came out of a bag with quality equal to Taco Bell quac. Will not return. With this ‘quality’ I cannot imagine they stay open much longer…service was good though!
