I love this spot for happy hour and especially for their fish fry. The bar is English pub style. There is plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs, and out on the roof. There is always plenty of bartenders and servers who are perfection. They are quick, sweet, and attentive. My last visit was to watch a Bucks playoff game. They have plenty of TVs downstairs but also project onto a screen. The bar was busy but not packed or too loud. I had a nice time chatting with the bartenders. The fish fry, as always, was amazing. I love that they serve it with Malt Vinegar! It is one large fillet that comes over a bed of thick cut fries. Everything is fried to perfection; crispy and flaky. There is plenty of parking outside but I always recommend a ride share or bus. Especially if you plan to have a drink because their old fashioneds are excellent and kind of addicting!!

This is a real-deal British pub, from the outside to the inside. The English-pub vibe is dripping from the walls and ceiling! Gotta love that huge Union Jack covering the entire ceiling. We arrived mid-afternoon, so it was not busy. Our service was quick and the food arrived promptly. I liked that the menu leaned heavily towards English pub food items. The cheese curds had a light crunchy coating. My wife described her ‘fish n’ chips’ order as the best she has ever eaten. The breading was light, flaky, crunchy. Not over-seasoned and oily. There was plenty on the plate for 2. I really enjoyed my Shepards pie. It was prepared just the way it should: loaded with meat, both ground and chunks of lamb. You could taste the red wine reduction soaked into the meat. All covered with smooth cheesy mashed potatoes. It was all washed down with a tall glass of Guinness.Cool pub. Really good food. I’d love to see it at happy hour or St Patrick’s Day. We will definitely go back.

I am not a review leaver, but for this meal I decided to go ahead and leave one. My partner and I wanted to get some corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's day but we started out a little late and decided on Red Lion because it wasn't as busy as others serving St. Patty's day food. Our first time here after living not that far away was a most pleasant surprise. It didn't have the college vibe most restaurants have around here, it was casual and laid back, relaxing even. I ordered corned beef and cabbage, my partner the fish and chips. Both were amazing! corned beef was so flavorful, and the mashed potatoes, don't get me started on those fantastic mashed potatoes lol. I had to help my partner finish his fish because there was a LOT of flaky tasty yumm fish. Finally, our server was Stella, and they were absolutely amazing as well. Super friendly, helpful, great suggestions, and knowledgeable about the food and drinks, thank you for making our casual night out perfect! We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.

The fish was fabulous. Our waitress Stella was amazing. Cannot wait to go back. Not to loud at all.

Good place, friendly and fast staff. The drink was cold, the food was hot and tasty. No problems with the Red Lion Pub.

This is one helluva restaurant! It is soooo calm, cool, collected and chill. The VIBE is absolutely amazing. My friend invited me to join him on a Friday evening, and I’m so glad he did. The greeter was welcoming, and our waitress, SWEET STELLA, was awesome! She made the evening outstanding. We had the best cocktails, old fashion and an Irish whiskey. The food was delicious. We had the fish n’ chip, cheese curds, jalapeño poppers and turtle cheesecake. This is one of best restaurants on the east side. I will be back . . .

We had some menu troubles when we first arrived, their online menu and the menu they had in person were difficult to understand. Their brunch menu is only available until 2pm, where they then switch to their lunch/dinner menu which is different from most restaurants. They do not serve the second menu until after 2pm, something their website doesn't mention, but their service was able to accommodate the switch for us. The food was good overall and I didn't have any complaints , other than their menu size which consists mostly of appetizers, with few small entrees.

Between Red Lion Pub and its sister bar - Three Lions Pub, I've been many times. The food is always excellent with a good selection of draft beers (the fish and chips is top notch and I personally recommend pairing it with a Smithwicks). For any soccer fans out there, it's definitely the place to watch the game! The bartenders and servers are all fun yet attentive. The place is clearly the kind of pub that has its cast of regulars, which is always a good sign in my book. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly with booths, tabletop, and bar seating. It's a proper British pub. It's street parking but I've always been able to find a spot near the pub, even during game time.

I'm only reviewing the service and the Guinness. I believe it was Katie that poured my pint. I warned her I was a snob about Guinness. She took it seriously and poured a great pint. If I get back in town I'll try some food. I also tried the Old Speckled Hen, the pout was nice but I didn't like the beer, not a reflection on the pub though. Walking up to the place it looked cool. Inside I sat at the bar and liked it.
