Call this a 4.5. First thing to note is that this is an office/residential building kind of gig and there are no markings on the outside of building to confirm that you're in the right spot. But rest assured that on the second floor you will find a friendly mom and pop kind of place making very solid sandwiches, etc. The food is tasty and represents a great value as well as being prepared by some nice people bringing some sammie love to the neighborhood. I will gladly be returning to try another menu item!

We were in the neighborhood looking for a quick but yummy sandwich and found Richards on Yelp. The posted pictures of the sandwiches pulled us in. A bit tricky to find but glad we kept searching - don't get discouraged! Easy street parking and a cool tannery building. Service was very friendly and quick and our sandwich (got the Revo based on other Yelp friends' recs) and it was not disappointing. we will return!

The website prices say $8 for a sandwich. I went in there and the prices are $10. That is false advertising, and really not okay. Also, the sandwich I wanted from the website wasn't on the menu in store. Also not okay. Change your website to reflect what is true to the location! I got a wrap anyway, and that's why the three stars; despite those other things, it was definitely very good. But the false advertising really turns me off, so I likely will not return - which is a bummer because I work right in the area and love a good sandwich.

Okay the other reviews are a little deceiving. This is not so much a restaurant but a little lunch room in a building. Just painting a picture. That said, the sandwiches do not disappoint, quality, taste, composition are very good. Both of us ate half and had the other half for dinner that night. Great staff (person) too, friendly and sweet.

Richard's Cafe is one of those places that I want to tell everyone about...and yet I don't want to tell anyone. Tucked away on the 2nd floor of an office building near 7th and Virginia I feel like it's my little secret place. No one else knows that the bread is soft yet sturdy and tastes fresh. It's my secret place where the quick sub salami (with lettuce, tomato, and mayo) is my go-to lunch that never disappoints. I don't tell anyone about the super easy, super quick online ordering that will send me a text when my order is ready and have my food waiting on the counter when I walk in seconds later. If everyone knew about the friendly service, the great food, and the super easy online ordering then Richard's Cafe wouldn't be my little secret place anymore. So don't tell anyone. It will be our little secret!
