Very friendly staff, if you need something, ask them; if they make a mistake, tell them and they are so apologetic and will try their best to make it right. The food is also very good for the price. I was told that they are looking to expand their menu selections as well. They have paintings on the wall that has a price tag on, so they probably support the local artists as well. Not a bad place to have breakfast.

In the heart of a historical neighborhood, you'll find this cafe', where old Milwaukee meets new Milwaukee. Here, the staff is friendly and the chef's take time to craft delectable food and baristas serve tasty coffee and smoothies. I must add that Rise and Grind Cafe' is the only establishment that I found that offers vegan soul food options regularly, in addition to made-to-order vegan breakfast items such as french toast, eggs, sausage, grits. But wait, plant based hot dogs, burgers, and deli sandwiches are on the menu also!I would definitely recommend.
Stopped in with friends and had a great experience. I wasn't that hungry so I asked for a salad. They allowed me to build my own/custom salad with a tasty house dressing. ? Very accommodating staff, great food and atmosphere. My friends raved over the salmon croquettes.

Nice, clean atmosphere! Younger staff that are very gracious and hospitable. Sunday brunch was 5star! Blacked eyed peas, rice, collard greens, very well seasoned chicken, candied yams, bacon, eggs, sausage, grits and cornbread. BAAAABY!! Combine that with listening to old school music by Al Green & The Temptations made me feel like I was back at my grandmama house. Best brunch in MKE!!
