Ruta's Fresh Indian Fare

Saw this place on fox6 and decided to check it out. The food was amazing! Got a chicken tikka bowl and swapped the beets for carrots and added some spicy pickled peppers. Owner still gave me a tiny side of beets that were actually not bad (I hate beets). I ate this bowl soooo fast. I also ordered a goa blues lassi that was phenomenal! I can’t stop thinking about this place and cannot wait to go back. The owner seemed very passionate about cooking, making the drinks and customer service. I felt at home at this place and loved every second of it! Thank you Rutas for a memorable experience that I can’t stop thinking about! They even had a plant that matched my hoodie.

Stopped here with some friends and was blown away at how tasty the food was. Got the chickpea sandwich and it was so dang good! Super friendly staff and great background music! Keep being awesome!

Google was not updated for the holiday. Simply walked 15mins one way to reach here.

Food is ok but expensive and quantity is limited too. Good to try once!

I used to love the food here and hadn’t eaten at Ruta’s in a few months. So I went here for dinner but it just wasn’t the same. The tomato coconut soup was not as flavorful as it used to be and tasted watery; the rice bowl wasn’t as full as it used to be (not worth the $13); the rice itself was a little mushy. The hot roast chicken naan melt was good, but that’s the only thing. I can’t speak for any of the other items since I didn’t get them, but overall the quality seems to have gone down, which is disappointing.

Stopped in on a whim and had the best lunch I've had anywhere in awhile! Had the tikka bowl. The immuniti drink is so good too. Everything is delicious and makes you feel good. Thanks Ruta! 🌸

Stayed in an Airbnb around the corner from Ruta's and was excited to when I saw we had an Indian restaurant so close. Their concept is one I'd never seen before (think Chipotle Indian style). I got the Veggie Chili which won a well deserved award for best veggie chili 2025 and a cookie that was equally delicious. The person making my order was very friendly and helpful and provided excellent service. They even had great merchandise (though nothing for my tall frame haha). Would definitely eat here again and will seek them out on my next trip to MKE

I had a great experience at Ruta’s. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was excellent, with friendly staff. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and would visit again!

Lived in Walkers Point for almost a year now and finally tried Ruta’s out! Good news and bad news.. good news is it’s DELICIOUS and SUPER fresh. Bad news is I can’t stop spending all my money here HA. Definitely try this place out, it’s a hidden gem!

Wow! What a truly incredible takeout meal. I had the chicken tikka bowl and it was full of freshness and deep layers of flavor. The chicken, sauce, naan and veggie sides were all perfect. We tried the kale, onions, cucumber, and coconut slaw, and I can’t pick a favorite. They all worked together and elevated the dish. We will be back for sure!

Been here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. So quick, affordable and they have a huge variety of proteins, veggies, sauces and grains with a bunch of great vegan options. I’m a sucker for a tomato masala tofu bowl with their amazing ,and now vegan!, ginger molasses cookie.
