Saffron - Modern Indian Dining

1st time here—- went with small plates which included the samosas, crispy cauliflower , tandoori chicken bao bun and date nan. We also had the elegant saffron old fashioned and cherry manhattan. Everything was flavorful and delivered hot. Our server was enthusiastic . We would easily come back for entrees the next time we are in town!

Our server did everything to make us feel special! Food was great but the drinks were even better with excellent serving style!

Saffron is one of our favorite restaurants in the Milwaukee area. Friendly staff, delicious food and drinks, and great ambiance. Here are some of the things we enjoyed this time: fig naan, paneer tikka, lobster, shrimp curry, butter chicken, Saffton old fashioned and the delightful gin blossom cocktail. When I booked the luncheon I noted we were celebrating my father's 93rd birthday. As we finished our meal, they presented him with a fun, smoky/sparkler dessert - it was a much appreciated gesture. It was the first time my parents had been to Saffron - they loved it and are already planning their next visit. The only thing I wish they would add to the menu is coffee and/or espresso - but that's just me.

If you love Indian food & want a true high end experience - you must go! From the innovative & off the charts cocktails to dessert. Saffron is a modern take on traditional dishes & new combinations of flavors that is a true delight!

Food was absolutely delicious. Lots of flavor and the ambience was very nice. Perfect for a date night.

Excellent service, friendly and attentive. Cocktails were delicious and entrees were as well. We had the shrimp curry, butter chicken and butter naan. So good!

Arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation time and they seated us early. Our server was wonderful, taking time to answer questions about the menu. The food, as always, was absolutely delicious.

We barely had to wait to get seated, we did have a reservation. Our server was really nice and friendly, she told us they didn't have an ingredient to make one of the elements in a dish we ordered, we were quickly given the choice to change it or get something else. The food was amazing!!!! Every single thing we ordered just tasted perfect: the lamb was so tender, the shrimp were cooked to perfection, the curries were spicy (not any heat though) and the rice super fluffy. We also had cocktails which were good, but in my opinion overpriced. The naan was probably the best we have ever had, overall fantastic spot, really dark, great for date night!

Such an experience. Intimate seating, drink presentations, personal service and delicious food. It was everything we could've imagined for a special dinner and can't wait to make it a tradition. Thank you so much!

Overall great! Must visit if you like Indian food. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. However this is not fine dining place just pricey LOL. We had a great time. One complain: no soap in the bathroom (at 8pm and still at 8:30pm).
