Gorgeous presentation! 🤩I loved the Black Angus special roll and the Boom Boom Shroom. The spicy garlic edamame was amazing. Emily our server was wonderful and even gave me extra spicy garlic sauce to take home. Finally, the dessert cannot be missed! Extraordinarily unique dessert options including Matcha Tres Leches, Fried Rice Ice Cream with famous Purple Door Ice Cream. 🍨 Sushi and so much more with a lovely view! 🌃

My second time. Tried a roll. It came out with just the roll, ginger and wasabi.
The wasabi nearly blinded me and burned a hole through me throat.
Half way through the roll, I was looking for my waiter because I really wanted sauce. Ended up flagging down someone clearing a table. Asked for a sauce and soy sauce. The soy was on the table. Hadn't noticed. It wasn't marked. The other sauce was an upcharge. Not mentioned, didn't know until I saw the check.
Friendly server, but poor service.
The roll was tasty. Tasted much better with the sauce. But I'll stick to my Pick n Save Monday Sushi specials.
I've always had amazing experiences here — usually a solid 10/10 — but our visit last night was disappointing. Our server seemed cold and uninterested from the start, which made the whole meal feel uncomfortable. Appetizers came out cold and the wontons were soggy. My six-year-old's rice came without a spoon or fork and it took about 20 minutes before our server came back so we could ask for one. When our entrées arrived, the table was still full of dirty plates, and only one was cleared the entire time. The food itself was delicious and perfectly cooked, but service was really lacking. We waited again just to get boxes, and even though I noted in the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, it wasn't acknowledged until I asked. The dessert was brought out without any effort or care, and with all the plates still on the table, it made it hard to enjoy the moment. Such a bummer, especially since there were only a couple of other tables in the restaurant. Hoping this was just an off night, because this place is usually one of our favorites.
Excellent sushi. Great Japanese drink selection. Watch out for the spicy roll- wasabilicious

Food was great, however the experience was wrecked by their private party walking by us with carts of catered in food over and over again. Disappointing
Just one bad rating in a sea of good ones, so it's not gonna make a difference. I came in expecting a good meal, and was thoroughly disappointed. The seaweed salad was tough and stale, felt old. Miso soup is overly sweet and has no depth, with very thin mushroom slice that tastes gross - why skim on mushroom. Edamame was bland, they couldn't even add any salt on it, and about a third of them are undercooked. And the fish... I've never eaten sushi where I had to spit out chewy stringy bits - either low quality fish or the chef doesn't know how to cut the fish right. Disappointing meal all around.

Screaming Tuna is hit or miss. Tonight was an absolute miss. The salmon roe, Ikura, was cloudy and the texture mushy. The other nigiri was ruined because the rice was overcooked and had a strong vinegar flavor, leaving a coating on the roof of the mouth. Couldn't finish it.

Restaurantji Recommends
We have been to Screaming Tuna numerous times over the last 5 years and each time the service and food seem to become less and less impressive. First, when we got there the restaurant was so cold, as they had propped open the door by the bar. It wasn't much warmer when we sat down. Our server was indifferent, and the food was subpar at best. The presentation of the sushi was just meh, and the taste of each of our rolls was average. Our visit was disappointing to say the least.
Poor customer service! Was very excited to try a new spot, and ended up being disappointed. As soon as I walked in were weren’t greeted or asked anything. I was stared at until I spoke up and said “I would like to be seated”. We then were seated and not told anything just a walk away with no smile or “someone will be with you shortly”. As a hosts you are to be welcoming and attend customers, since you are the first impression of a restaurant to a customer. You are not to just stare as if you are confused. It’s the simple things that matter!
Showed up just because without a plan... I just wanted some boom boom shroom. Got sat by the river a chill evening. Service was great and the sushi was delicious.

Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. We got the sushi for two and it was a nice variety with plenty to eat.
Alexa is an amazing server ... she knows the menu well, is fun, and was prompt and attentive! Highly recommend this place!
