A great stop for decadent treats. Love that there are cheesecakes ready to purchase, as well as many varieties of beautiful small treats too. And the staff is always friendly and kind! Highly recommend
We chose Simma's for our wedding cake and they did not disappoint! We did a two tiered cake for cutting and then cheesecake bites for the remainder of our desserts. The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! We had a consultation before our wedding and they were able to create the vision we were going for!
Simma’s is well known for a reason. From the initial meeting in-person to talk through our vision for a wedding cake, to the actual sampling and going over options, Peggy and the Simma’s team made us feel like we were in good hands. We decided to go with a two-tier cheesecake with a chocolate base, raspberry filling, and chocolate ganache for our wedding cake and it was probably the best cheesecake we have ever had. The cake was perfectly light and the right level of sweetness. The whole process of ordering the cake and standing to scheduling a pick-up/drop-off time and instructions for cutting was so simple, it allowed us to go into our day so confident that everything had been taken care of. Simma’s delicious cakes and quality service make this bakery essential for your next event or wedding.
I have never in life been so disappointed!! When I tell you rude and never again !! 5:12pm as I got out of work I called to order a cake and Jeromy answered the phone and said he could not hear me and asked me to call back tomorrow was getting ready to close they close at 6pm he had NO desire to help me!!! He asked me to come in and order well I live in Texas !!! I am so surprised and in disbelief on he just rushed me off the phone I have been ordering cakes for my kids since they where little.. disappointed and my mind is in disbelief!!
The best morning buns around
We used Simma's for our wedding bakery and were beyond thrilled with the results. We did a decorated marble tiered cake along with two additional sheet cakes (red velvet and the classic Simma's cheesecake). All were delicious and guests told us they went back for second, third, and even fourth servings. We found the prices very reasonable compared to other choices in the Milwaukee market, and knew that Simma's reputation for quality would help ensure we had a great wedding day.
Cake was delicious as expected. When it came to the cake decorating we would rate it a 1. Not really what we were aiming for and received poor customer service from the lady that assisted us with our cake. We will not be ordering from Simmas again.
Customer service was lacking. I waited at the register while a young woman came and used the register I was standing right in front of, but she failed to acknowledge me. I felt completely invisible. The morning buns were gone but there were some in the freezer. I was surprised to find that this frozen bun would cost the same as a fresh one despite the fresh ones being sold out. I sensed a bit of attitude from one of the young women as she told me that the morning buns are usually gone by 11. I ultimately left empty handed and frustrated. This place is out of my way and I'm not sure I'll return. Too bad, because they have tasty stuff.
I am beyond disappointed with Simma’s. I provided inspiration pictures and was assured that the decorator would be able to achieve the desired design. I placed my order 3 weeks in advance and when they arrived at my event, they weren’t decorated at all. Completely plain. Useless for the event I had planned. I paid a premium price expecting something special, and instead I got something I couldn’t even use.
When I reached out, I got a cookie cutter “apology” email that was obviously a template. No real acknowledgment, no genuine care. It felt dismissive and insulting.
I should have just gone with Metro Market. Their cupcakes cost half as much, taste better, and at least you know what you’re getting. This experience was frustrating, embarrassing, and a waste of time. They did provide a full refund which is honestly the least they could do.
We had one of these cheesecakes for my mom’s 90th birthday and it was absolutely delicious! I’ve had some great cheesecakes from New York, but this one was far and away the best I’ve ever had!

Decadent Desserts + Friendly Service! What more could you want? Stopped by on a whim to grab my most fav ECLAIR in the land! It was rather busy Saturday afternoon 2:00. A lot of choices were sold out, so earlier you go more choices you have! However, fyi grab a ticket # from the counter & they assist you really quickly! Lily helped me with my order; she was so pleasant and helpful! Her smile & customer service skills would make you think she might just be the owner! There’s also a boutique vibe to the bakery. Cards, gifts, fun decor & they sell gift cards as well!
See pic: 2 eclairs, strawberry cake, 2 whoopie’s, chocolate & ganache something, and fudge-like brownie. All Divine!
Our go to for cakes and bakery for the last 36 years!
These people are rude, no customer service
Absolutely the best bakery in the Midwest
Wanted to revisit the bakery that created our wedding cake 27 years ago. Loved the options and took a small classic Simma's cake for dessert to have for the next few days. Definitely worth visiting and plan to visit on every return trip to Milwaukee.
