My greeting from the bartender Abby was warm and professional, as was her serving, as we were at a high top in the bar area. The local draft beers were excellent, as was the bbq pork platter and the bbq brisket platter as well, and with TWO free sides, the price was better than any we have seen around town lately. When I am in town, I will surely visit the Smoke Shack more often!

They have fantastic options if you're gluten-free. The waiter helped me find foods that also didn't contain dairy or egg. Love the atmosphere!!

Server was polite, food poor to say at least. They were out of Pork Ribs at 4:30pm on a Saturday night. Beef Ribs tough and burnt. Pulled Pork Fatty. Will never return.

First time here. The waitress (Abbie) was really nice and very attentive. The appetizers (chicken wings, Kansas City egg rolls were delicious. We shared the two meat combo platter-pulled pork and beef brisket. So tender and juicy. Will definitely be back.

We are long-time customers of The Smoke Shack and even had our wedding dinner there in 2019! We have moved to Florida and visit Wisconsin often, each time trying to come to The Smoke Shack, because it has been one of our favorites! This time was different unfortunately - my husband and I both ordered the full rack of ribs, but the meat was very tough and there was gristle on the ends. This is the first time that neither of us finished the ribs, and we didn't eat the leftovers either. I'm hoping that this was just a one-time glitch, because I have always enjoyed the ribs so much!! Did the chef change? The meat? The process??? If so, I would ask that you return to the old method of buying, preparing and cooking the ribs, because it was always a 10 out of 10 for me. I'm sad to leave this review, but I'm doing it only so that you can return The Smoke Shack back to my favorite Milwaukee stop.

I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs after waitress told me there were very tender. Two of us ordered and they were so tough we had to ask for sharper knifes. That should tell you volumes!!! My husband and I have eaten there before but the couple we brought were new. They wont return nor will we. The waitress knew we were ‘t happy but I dont think she was experienced on how to handle it! We left her a good top as she is not the cook. Very disappointed and a waste of money as I left almost my whole meal. She gave us the bill before even clearing our plates.

If you're thinking about going here, just yes. This is probably, most likely the best barbecue spot in Milwaukee hands down. 10/10 you won't be disappointed.

Food was great. We were trying to leave in the middle of a huge rain storm. Our waiter (sorry, I forgot his name) gave me his umbrella so I could get to my car. I got to the car, stayed dry and was able to get him the umbrella back when I picked up my friends. Much appreciated and made for a good ending to a great night!
Food was very good, bbq flavors weren’t my favorite but the meats were delicious. Workers are very friendly and it’s a very nice restaurant to visit

Oof. So the food was pretty good. Maybe the ribs were a bit overcooked. But we came on the 4th of July, and the service was so bad. Our table was 15-20 minutes late being ready, it took ages for our server to come back to do anything with us. Our food took over an hour to arrive. We were told someone in the kitchen nearly passed out (understandable), but then we heard a server the next table over saying that they were backed up due to a large catering order...all the waiters seemed frazzled and distracted. Maybe our fault for coming on a holiday. Who knows.

We both ordered the ribs and they were very dry. The ambience is great. The server was nice, but then when we asked for paper napkins, they did not provide any, and we were left with fingers covered in rib sauce at the end of the meal. Not sure why they don't provide a wet wipe or a finger bowl. The server dropped the bill on our table right after we got our meals. That was not friendly or welcoming at all!
