I was skeptical but decided to give this restaurant one more try since it has been quite a number of years since my last visit. I did not like that I had to pay quite a bit for a small cup of barbecue sauce for my fries because they do not put the sauce on the fries upon request, & the fries look like they were cooked in old grease & many were like little leftover pieces, & the prices are extremely high, look at the pictures, THIS is what I paid around $25 for…….

I will never eat here again, the rib tips are tough and cold, the chicken are as big as my face and this food is too expensive for the price. On top of that they forgot the corn bread. Not worth it the money at all.

Should have read the reviews before coming here. Not only does the food suck, the employees are even worse. You can spend all your money here and will get treated as a criminal. When you tell them you didn't get an item they will accuse you of basically stealing and need to check your bags. They will come outside with 3 people to check and make sure you didn't get it. Spend 100 bucks to get harassed over 4 dollars. Not worth any time or money at this place.... read the reviews and listen to the people.

Got outside shoulder extra meat didn't even get a whole order ordered greens lunch time not done enough and added sugar friends order fish everyone said it was fishy called told them they wanted me to come all the way back so they can see all i wanted was credited for extra meat that I paid for n didn't get talked 2 2 managers

I used to always come here for rib tips my last time I came I paid $27.00 just for rib tips they used to include bread and Cole slaw but not anymore so I found different bbq restraunts that include fries and Cole slaw and bread.

The sides were inedible—the spaghetti was complete mush as was the macaroni & cheese. The prices have really gotten out of control here as well.
I will most certainly not be ordering from here again. The customer service, food quality and food portions are all poor. The only thing I enjoyed from my order were the candied yams. I expected better quality food and service, seeing as this restaurant is black-owned and has been in business for quite some time. However, I was wrong.

This place has fallen off since I ate here two years ago. The food was not fresh, my ribs tasted like they were kept warm and not freshly prepared. That would be fine if one meal didn’t run me $35. At that price point I expect perfection or close to it. Carry out is annoying you have to wait in a long drive through line, no counter pick up. I used to stop at Speed Queen every time I visited Milwaukee but with the high cost and long waits, I’ll pass it next time. Had I read recent reviews I could have saved myself some trouble. Looks like Speed Queen has been off most of 2025
