I’m always baffled by the tipping culture now.

If you’re slinging 8$ coffee and bread make sure the tables in your area aren’t sticky and there isn’t trash.

I’m staying at the Hilton Milwaukee and had a frustrating experience at the Starbucks downstairs. My father and I waited over 30 minutes for two coffees. Our food was ready by 8:39, but drinks weren’t served until 9:06. One coffee was made incorrectly, and unfortunately, staff weren’t willing to correct it. The service was very slow and left a poor impression.

It really frustrates me when you have to deal with machines instead of actual people. I walked into the store and stood in line. There was only one person ahead of me, and when they were done, I stepped forward to the cashier. To my surprise, she picked up her phone, held it up to me, and apologized, saying they were closing at 4:00. The phone showed 4:01. I was caught off guard because I didn’t expect that. The time she spent picking up her phone and explaining could have been used to serve me, especially since it was just a cup of coffee. As someone who works as a cashier, I understand the situation, but I wouldn’t turn someone away for being one minute late. It's all about providing good service.

Was staying at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center for a conference back in May. I placed an order for coffee through the app and my order was supposed to have been ready in 7-10 minutes. When arrived my order wasn’t ready and I noticed that other mobile orders had been completed except mine, I approached the counter to ask how much longer would my order be and the server looked up my name and said they never received my order and then with an attitude asked did I chose the right location for the order I said yes and showed that I had completed my order through the app. I wouldn’t recommend this Starbucks to anyone! The staff who work there have attitudes and don’t want to take responsibility when they make mistakes.
