This place is legit. Visiting Milwaukee for work and was needing a home cooked meal. Found Sticky Rice on DoorDash and their menu was not a typical Thai restaurant. It was more of Lao/Thai cuisine.
I ordered the Lao staple of Lao Beef Jerky, fried chicken papaya sticky rice combo and jeow som. Dang it was like home. I asked for the papaya salad to be super spicy and made authentic with padek, IYKYK.
This was a pleasant surprise to find and highly recommended! If I look forward to coming back to try more of their dishes.

Waited for more than an hour for our food.
Perhaps they are too focused on delivery orders.

The Pad Prik King is awesome! I love this place and come here regularly. All their dishes are delicious and come with adjustable spice levels. You can’t go wrong, this is the right restaurant to choose.
The weekday lunch special is great too!

Pros:
- The food is SO good. Their Curry Fried Rice is probably the best fried rice I've ever had. Also highly recommend their Masamman Curry and Papaya Salad.
- Amazing portions.
Cons:
- Not the best atmosphere - the seating isn't the best and is frankly kind of uncomfortable.
- Service is alright - nothing special.
Bottom line: not much of an experience but the food really makes up for it.

I used to order papaya salad from this spot on DoorDash, it was flavorful. So, I thought, why not try dining in with my friend? Big mistake.
First off, the place smelled weird as soon as we walked in. Not exactly the vibe you want when you are about to eat. The guy taking our order didn't even ask how spicy I wanted my papaya salad, they just gave me some random level that was way too mild. Like, come on, that's Thai food 101.
And don't even get me started on the tom yum soup. It was so watery, I think they just threw a spoonful of paste into a bowl of hot water and called it a day. Zero flavor, zero effort.
Honestly, I am not sure what happened here. The takeout used to be good, but dining in was a total letdown. I might give their takeout another shot, but I am definitely not coming back to eat in this smelly, flavorless place.

A couple weeks ago we ordered from Sticky Rice simply because it was on the way home. What we discovered was that they have done a huge upgrade to their food, and it was delicious and flavorful. We had Lad Nah and Massaman Curry. Both were really good. To make sure it wasn't a fluke, we ordered the same meals again this week and they were again EXCELLENT. Full of rich and delicious flavor and spiced to the levels we ordered. I haven't eaten in, just gotten take out, but the interior looks like a nice place to sit and have delicious food. The staff have always been friendly. This isn't the Sticky Rice of Locust street, and if you haven't visited the Brady Street location, I highly recommend you do. We will be returning again and again and again.

I had the Beef Laab and my bf had the Red Curry. They were both flavorful, delicious, and spicy as expected. We were greeted right away when we walked in, by the gentleman behind the bar. He appeared to be the only one working the FOH while we were there, although his service speed was on point the whole time. He even noticed when we stood up to put our jackets on and thanked us for coming.

I've been a loyal fan since the Sticky Rice crew was making magic on Locust. Pat (BOH), Daniel (FOH), and the rest of the team never fail to deliver an extraordinary dining experience. The food is nothing short of exemplary, a true testament to culinary excellence. And the customer service? Absolutely stellar. Every visit feels like a warm embrace, thanks to their unmatched hospitality. If you're still reading this and haven't started walking towards Sticky Rice to place your order, you're seriously missing out on Milwaukee's finest.
