Stone Creek Coffee - Downer Cafe & Kitchen

My go to place for coffee and breakfast sandwiches! I would recommend anyone visit here when they're in town.

the cold brew is so delicious, the stuffed breads they have are unlike anything i've ever gotten at a coffee shop, and the vibes are immaculate. i tried the mocha scone, which was just alright, but that doesn't change my score much

I ordered an iced latte and had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Everything was really good and came out quickly.

When we visited Milwaukee, we planned to try Stone Creek because of the partnership with No Laying Up. What I didn't expect is that we'd stop at the Downer's Grove location every day on our trip, despite not staying in the neighborhood.

We first went in the morning and sat down to have coffee and a pastry. We ended up sitting on the awesome patio for an hour and reading books, enjoying the weather. We went back the next two days to sit on the patio, try the food and try new coffees.

Stone Creek has incredibly flavorful coffee and the food was great. We had the stuff'd bun thing with chorizo and egg, then we each had the breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, cheese, apple, arugula and a fresh brioche bun, and finally on our last day I had the almond monkey bread while my wife had the quiche. We also took home some stickers, bags of coffee and can't wait to return on our next Milwaukee trip!

Good cold brew, ok service. I liked the interior of the shop. The ambiance is cozy. Haven’t had much of the food yet but the bun i had was not bad. A little pricy.

So good deliciousness. My favorite breakfast sandwich hack: order a side of butter grilled pillow toast minus jelly ($4) plus fresh avocado slices ($1.5); order side of Neuske’s smoked bacon ($3.5) plus a side egg perfectly cooked over easy ($2). Smash together. And boom deliciousness. I almost feel like not leaving a great review so this place doesn’t get busier.

I absolutely love this place, and I’ve only been here twice. The food, coffee, and staff are wonderful, and it reminds me of some of the better coffee shops I’ve been to.

Coffee, service and bakery are great! Stone Creek, please fix your Chilaquiles or take them off the menu. I was excited to try but, unfortunately, it was a sad bowl of soggy tortilla chips drowned in Salsa Verde; far from hitting the mark of authentic Chilaquiles.

Stopped by while I was in town for the Weekend. Wish I made another trip for coffee here I loved the quality and atmosphere. Was pretty crowded early Saturday but managed to find a seat in the nice patio. I had the frozen horchata drink with one of their honey butter biscuits.. soo good

Food and coffee is great, right on Downer Street. Super cute area. Just make sure to either learn how to parallel park or be prepared to walk LOL
