Stubby's Gastrogrub & Beer Bar

We have literally been sitting here for 50 min (at the bar) got one drink after 20min- wanted to order an appetizer but even with the multiple staff walking past us, no one even looked in our direction.Not to mention the “please wait to be seated” sign in the front had us waiting for 5 min while no one came so we sat ourselves.I rarely write a review but this was the absolute worst service I have ever encountered.Don’t waste your time.

Great beer menu. Inefficient waitstaff. Server needs more training. There was business, but no excuse for the poor service. The only reason we got beers and an appetizer is because the manager wslked by. We were told burgers could only be cooked medium well. Came out crunchy one one side. Waited forever to pay.

Had the Big Stub. It was tasty. My associate has the meatloaf sandwich and said it was the best ever. Service was appropriate. Will certainly eat here again.

Very nice place on the Milwaukee River. Patio seating with great view of the water. Large beer selection.

Very friendly, and had multiple people wanting to serve us. Food and beverage service were all very prompt, good quality, and good prices. Would go back again for sure.

As a suburbanite, one of my favorite places in Milwaukee. Great patio on the river and a menu with great variety. Vegetarian, Vegan or carnivore...you are set. Did I mention 53 beers on tap?

Good food, sticky tables outdoors because of the varnish on the tables after treating with cleaning solution. Easily fixed with wood polish. Closes a little early for my liking.

Love Stubby’s! Great tap beer list, including some hard to get craft beers. Reasonably priced. Options for vegetarians and vegans (ate the beyond meat burger today, usually get salmon). Awesome sweet potato fried. Great service from Reid and the host Meagan. A fantastic, casual neighborhood spot to watch games/sports or take big groups. Toast app has mobile pay at the table option, too.

We were there for a Sunday brunch. There were 7 of us. Food was delicious and service was quick and with a smile. We were able to get a table overlooking the river and enjoyed the beautiful spring view.Only complaint: hostess just looked like we were ruining her day by showing up. Everyone else was great to work with.Lots of fun nostalgia things to look at inside the restaurant. Maybe next visit we'll look around inside more.Parking in that neighborhood is tough, so be prepared to hunt for a spot. I am definitely looking forward to returning during my next trip to Milwaukee.

Our food was wonderful. Our server James was timely, friendly and great at his job. He did a great job attending to our large group and did not miss a beat. Only reason it is not five stars is the rude host. Your hostess was the rudest host I have ever come across in any restaurant. Almost laughable. I can’t believe how horribly she treated us and other customers. Need to get rid of her asap.

Food and service were good. Lots of outdoor seating too. Nice place.

The bloodies were fantastic and were served with absolutely delicious hot pepper-stuffed olives. The cheese curds were the best I've ever had. Great experience!

Cheese curds are very good. Possibly largest in Milwaukee.Grilled chicken sandwich was delicious as well.Pretty quick service and nice atmosphere.Single of Templeton Rye was a little pricey at $11.

has to be one of the better bars in the area. a ton of beers on tap, great food and large portion sizes. lots to do in the bar as far as games and whatnot. Also, a nice deck for summer time use. Great place to come watch a game.

We'll be coming back. The night my wife and I came in to Stubby's, the service was new and slow and one of our meals was not very good. However, the manager came to our table to talk to us about it and then took my meal off the bill. Like I said, we'll be back! Great atmosphere and cold beers!
