This place is AMAZING!! Fantastic, fresh and flavorful food with a comfortable and stylish atmosphere. The staff is attentive, friendly and welcoming.

Delicious everything! We had the guac and chips and calamari for apps. The calamari had huge pieces and was perfectly cooked. For the mains we got burritos, one steak and one pastor, both delicious and ample sized. The hot sauces were flavorful and not too spicy. They had a habenaero one we didn’t try. We particularly liked the red. The other main was the gorditas with carnitas. The meat was moist and flavorful.
Overall all the food was wonderful, but what took it over the top was our waitress, Stephanie, was so kind and exuded happiness. Thank you!

Food was all excellent! We had the chips, salsa, mahi mahi tacos, shrimp tacos, and elote! Drinks were also great. We’ve been to the previous location and excited to have the new larger location here in Elm Grove. In the pricier side but was all very yummy.

Took my sister to an early dinner yesterday after a very stressful week for her.The dinner, atmosphere and service were all outstanding. Alex was very helpful and professional.Love the larger location and tasteful decor. And the food! Guacamole Azteca, shrimp tacos and a margarita were perfect. We highly recommend Tavos!

Recommend calling ahead as they will be busy. Got seated immediately and ordered an app (salsa and chips) along with 2 drinks. Then ordered meals and had a delicious pineapple pastor as well as fish tacos. Stunning presentation and tasting food! Will return for sure.

We recently ate here on a Sunday evening. The food is outstanding, very fresh and tasty. Decent sized portions, so you are not feeling stuffed afterward. Margaritas are also very good and freshly made (not in a machine). This restaurant is a bit hidden by Studio 890 in Elm Grove but make the effort to find it, you will not be disappointed!

First time at Tavos for dinner but certainly not the last! Excellent, fresh food with lots of flavor. The margaritas were as good as the food, too! New favorite!

Sad, the owner seems to want to argue with customers about their experiences vs. taking them in stride. We all have feedback that is more valid than others but you can easily see where if an external approach is so far off, there are roots to what's wrong behind the scenes as well. Truly disappointing cuz I love the vibe, food focus and supporting local but I'll take my biz to places that have a bit more respect for their clientele.
