The food, service and ambiance here is always wonderful. I don't get to the area often, but when I do, a visit to The Edison never disappoints.

First time dining at The Edison. The food and cocktail selections are creative and delicious. The service was excellent. Will definitely be back again.

Great exoerience! Wagyu pigs in a blanket were amazing - must order Caesar salad was excellent, traditional - well done. Wagyu Bavette with charred carrots was one of the best steaks I've had recently. A+, highly recommend. Attentive and polite staff. Great dining experience

The Edison was a great place to dine while we were visiting Milwaukee. They food was unique and very good. Shay's service was absolutely outstanding. The cocktails were unique as well and I had a hard time deciding because there were so many to try! We would definitely visit again.

Lovely atmosphere. I didn't care for our server. Food was good, but we liked dessert best of all. Checked this one off my list.

Wonderful experience! We had Michael as our server and he was fantastic and attentive. Many restaurants that we go tend to treat me and my boyfriend poorly simply because we are teenagers. However, every staff we encountered here at The Edison treated us outstandingly and just like any other customer. Thank you for such an incredible experience and the great food on top of that!

It was an interesting experience.
Wine selection was great!
Atmosphere was awesome.
Service was good aside from the waitress standing table side for an uncomfortable minute next to us and not leaving after dropping the check. Please leave after dropping the check. It’s uncomfortable when you stand there staring at me rifling my pockets.

Let’s get into the food.

Started with Ham and Cheese Croquette. Filling was bland. Came out lukewarm. Whipped honey mustard was more Dijon than anything. Also not a croquette. Croquette means small and dainty. That was a brick. Maybe that’s why when it was fried it was lukewarm in the middle. But what the hell do I know.

Cesar salad was lovely. Great croutons.

Now the entrees. Caccio e Pepe was nothing like a true one should be. And we knew this. The menu lists truffle and lemon. I’m down for a twist on a classic. However, I tasted more cream and lemon than I should’ve tasted pepper and parmesan. Where was the pepper? I don’t know. Pepper is supposed to be the star of that show. I wouldn’t have minded lemon and truffle playing support. Instead the whole point of the dish was nowhere to be found.

Also very odd choice in noodles but I anppreciate it being made in house. Also the dish came out BARELY LUKE WARM. It’s a dish made in a pan… how? There was also a hangar steak ordered as a topping for the pasta…we’ll address this in the next paragraph.

I went with the Wagyu Bevette. Picture is attached here along with the hangar steak on the pasta. Normally wagyu has a beautiful marbling to it. I ordered a medium rare. I just find it hard to wrap my head around that ALL the fat rendered out of it. It looked oddly similar to the hangar steak that was on the pasta. I could be wrong about this, and don’t want to be accusatory, this is an observation. You tell me after looking at the pictures………….

Anyways, I also could’ve done with more of the Aligot and not the overly ketchupy house made “A1” knockoff.

Also the asparagus was cold.

There’s a trend here….

Butterscotch custard barely tasted like butterscotch but wasn’t bad. Just wanted the butterscotch.

Would maybe try one more time…maybe.

Edit: I was reading other reviews and I saw a comment from the owner on another bad review from the steak. It’s been a month and your chef still has not fixed the issue of how the steak is being cut according to the grain. Figure it out.

We had high hopes, but unfortunately the experience fell flat. Disappointing service, especially considering the restaurant was nearly empty. We sat for 15 minutes without being acknowledged — no water, no greeting, nothing. What made it worse was that the server was actively helping tables right next to us, including people who walked in at the same time we did. She never once came by or said a word to us.

When we finally did get service, it felt like an afterthought. Definitely not the kind of welcome you'd expect.

The service was really disappointing, which took away from what could’ve been a great meal. That said, the Edison burger was excellent and the tuna sandwich was surprisingly good — props to the kitchen for delivering on flavor.

If the service matched the quality of the food, this place would’ve been a winner
