The drinks and service at the bar were fine, but the Summerfest shuttle is very poorly coordinated. There was very little communication as to pick up/drop off details, no wristbands or any way to indicate that we had bought drinks and paid to use the shuttle, and no Newport signage on the bus to identify it. We tried to find our shuttle home for 30+ minutes at 11pm at the location where we were dropped off and in the bus line, but there was no bus home and no response from their phone number listed on Google maps. We never got a ride home from them had to find other transportation. If management is reading this, please provide your patrons with wristbands to board the bus at the end of the night, ensure your pick up location is clearly communicated while patrons are riding to Summerfest, communicate pickup times and frequency, and label your bus so it's easily located!

Visited in July 2024. A really cool bar. Staff were attentive and friendly and the prices were low. Looking forward to visiting again next time I'm over.
Edited to add that I did return when I was in town again. The place was as great as I remember. My favourite bar in Milwaukee, and that's quite the accolade because Milwaukee bars are great.

Neighborhood bar has been there forever always a fun crowd and good times . I'm pretty sure they still have free hotdogs on Wednesdays. One thing that I have had a problem with is when a group is there after playing sports and the place smells like a locker room .

The Newport is a true gem with a fantastic atmosphere. The staff treated us like family from the moment we walked in.
And the pizza? Simply delicious!
It's the kind of place you can really relax in, a classic dive bar with a lot of heart.
