Went there awhile ago, I was appalled at the low rating, sometimes food isn't the focus, it's a hell of a bar with plenty of history. It's definitely worth a stop for some drinks. Don't let the picky people deter

We went here before our reservations at a restaurant. Daniel was our bartender and he was awesome. He shared info about local drinks, gave recommendations and was just generally fun.

Neat historic place. Still holds onto the bygone years. Stopped for drinks ordered a Beam and Ginger and they were out of both. Bartender took care of me though.

I used to inspect the buildings in downtown Milwaukee so I'm quite biased on the atmospheric beautiful and nostalgia but its just wonderful. This place is paired up with the safe house. Cant speak out much because I'd be leaking top secret information ?. If i wasn't inspecting, i was on quick lunches with coworkers but this last visit was all leisure. I recommend an evening visit, with an open adventurous mind, and a partner with the same. Every staff member felt like a friend. They made their own names for us. One member was done for the night- packed up his bags ?, but since we pouted like kids he accommodated with a smile and the most wonderful conversation like we were long time friends. smh. If you don't experience downtown and fifth ward and walkers point Milwaukee i just don't know what to say. You are missing beautiful energies. Definitely will be back here....

Fun atmosphere.. went there to watch the game while my hotel room was being cleaned. Friendly atmosphere, ended up meeting some people and going to a comedy club later. Good bar service, decent beer selection. Didn't try the food, but standard bar menu when I looked at the

This is my go-to place to go for drinks. Aside from being a convenient downtown location, it is never bursting at the seams so the bartender can be attentive and conversational. The drinks are always good and reasonably priced. The only downside is that the food isn't great. However, it's not like one would think to go there for dinner anyway so it's no big deal.

Only came in for drinks but really cool, gimmicky spot. Like a dive but intentionally quirky.

Love this space. Prices are reasonable. Always fun to see new signatures of patrons over the years. As one of oldest bars in the city & all the plaques that could collect dust they keep very well cleaned. Nachos & curds were quite good!

Wish I could give it no stars. The plates were dirty and the carne asada nachos were delivered cold, not simply not hot but cold like out of the refrigerator! After getting warm nachos, they were simply the worst I ever ate!
