July 2023: I came here for my birthday brunch (as I heard they were closing...its apparently in September for those interested) with a friend who had never been. It was easily the most disappointing dining experience of my life.I knew there may be a wait based on prior experience. I didn't expect the wait to be almost 2 hours. I didn't expect my friend to not be accommodated for a drink she didn't like. In my experience, any restaurant would have done something. Upon being seated, my friend asked for the drink she did not want to be removed from the table as she wasn't going to drink it. April refused to take it, saying that once the drink is on the table, it's yours. The food was average to poor. The wait and prior service left a bad taste in our mouths in general. ...my friend wanted to leave sooner and I am stubborn and optimistic. The thing that sticks out in my mind.... is the head chef/owner... and assumed co owner April ... saying that we could take the cost of the horribly prepared drink out of the hard-working staff's tip. There were 3 altercations with the head chef/owner at the end. I asked April if she would remove the line item of the drink. She said that we could reduce the tip and that once the drink is on the table, it's ours. I then asked the waitress to address the line item and went to the bathroom. During that time, the head chef/owner came out and apparently berated my friend. Upon returning to the table and being informed of this by my friend and the neighboring table, I returned inside to inquire about the conversation. Head chef/owner comes out and is initially polite. The conversation took a turn. I returned to our table. Head chef/owner comes out and slams an updated bill on our table. My friend immediately left. I stayed and listened for a while and then said goodbye to our neighboring table.I don't know what is going on with them personally... but the quality of this place has decreased significantly.Edit: a former employee reached out via Facebook message after reading my review and explained that they were treated awfully and was told that they didn’t get tips.4 years ago: I've been here a couple times for Monday brunch. Never disappoints. Service and food are always on point. The creativity in the dishes and drinks is always a pleasant add on to the experience.

We love this place so much we now regularly drive two hours to eat here. The cake will change your life. Don't skip it. The servings are HUGE, and I've never had a meal I didn't like.Things to know that to me add so much charm:-The menu changes every day, no, you can't see it ahead of time.-It's tiny, cozy, and intimate.-If you want to be seated right when they open, you'll have to join the line outside which usually forms 30-45 minutes before opening. Even in the winter months.-The cake is a homemade family recipe. It's actually perfect.-All the staff are so friendly. We always love seeing our server!Highly, highly recommend.

My experience was absolutely terrible. The service, the food, and the so called owner were the worst. We waited an hour to be seated and another hour and a half to be served. My friend insisted on staying for her birthday brunch. We were asked how we liked our drinks and I told the server I didn't like mine and that I wasn't going to finish it, so she could take it away. She refused, and also refused to give her name. But we figured out that it was April. They took that as we wanted a refund and the "owner" came out yelling. Not once but twice. My friend was in the restroom when he came out so she confronted him. He came back a third time, yelling, and this time name calling, but with a refund "for the $13 drink", as if that was the real issue here. He literally berated two women who decided to support his business. Several people sitting near us were also complaining about the disrespectful service, and I can see by the reviews that this is an ongoing issue with this establishment. Good thing they're closing soon. You don't deserve to have a small business supported by the community with an attitude like that. Good riddance!

I love coming to the Noble for brunch every time I can. They have a static menu as well as new specials every day. The staff is super friendly. Be prepared to wait, as they’re extremely popular. But it’s worth the wait!

Delicious food, extremely long long wait.Went for Monday brunch, arrived before it opened and waited 30 mins to get in and another hour and a half for food.Attentive service, came by multiple times for drink refills and ambiance was unique and enjoyable.Small layout, not many tables so if you don't get in on the first round you could end up waiting hours.Food and drinks were delicious and eccentric, menu changes for a fun and exciting meal.Photos:Biscuit and gravyBrisket omelette with cheesy hash *specialSteak faux beneditBarbie bloody mary *specialRum Chatta coffe *special

This use to be my favorite restaurant in the city. We went there to have my birthday dinner, as this was the only place I wanted to go. Well, the experience was horrible. We walked in and while waiting to put our name in were told not nicely to move out of their way. The restaurant is small so there really isn’t a good place to stand. We got our name in and knew there would be a wait, which is not a problem at all. We were told to go out on the patio and someone would come to us to get out drink order. Well, that never happened. We waited 20-25 minuets without anyone acknowledging us.My friend went to the bar to ask if we needed to order a drink there. He was rudely told to move (there was no one seated at the bar). He asked how to get a drink. The women said, “you can talk to the manager.” The manager came over and explained to my friend there was a wait. My friend explained how we were promised someone would come to get our drink order, and we were not upset and understood the wait. The manager was just as disrespectful. We just wanted to get a drink, and were treated horribly. Do not promise to come get a drink order and then get mad when we ask to order one. Both the man and women there treated my us terribly. We left right away and sadly I’ll never go back!If I could give them zero stars I would have.

I’m not one to write reviews, but this absolutely blew me away. The service is the best I’ve ever had. Incredible knowledge of the menu. The menu has constantly rotating entrees and they all sounded delicious. They have one chef in a small kitchen and the food he produces makes a mockery of anything I’ve ever been served. The price is amazingly affordable for the quality of service and dining you will receive. Truly a hidden gem of milwaukee and the Midwest. A must visit. We will be back regularly.

Wonderful food and atmosphere! I love that they don’t take reservations for those of us who are spontaneous. The owners and staff are the best!! There is no better desert in Milwaukee. Top 5 favorite meals of all time!

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee. April is always so kind and fun, so sit at the bar when you go! Even though my boyfriend and I both know chef David always makes amazing and unique dishes, every time we visit we comment at least half a dozen times to each other about just how well everything is cooked, and the dishes paired. The care that goes into planning (especially for togos during the pandemic) by chef and cultivating the fun and unique atmosphere by April and the rest of the foh makes the Noble the best place to spend your dinner or brunch. Bravo! Also save room for desert it's the best thing you'll ever eat I promise.

My wife and I went here after a couple friends recommended it to us and we absolutely loved it! It's small but that just makes it that much more intimate. Our food was absolutely fantastic and so was the service! The menu changes depending on what they get that day so it makes you want to go back again and again! We will definitely be back!

Never again! We have eaten at the Noble once before and the food was spectacular, so we were excited to go back. We know this is a small restaurant and you can expect a long wait. We were in absolutely no rush this evening. The lady working the bar took our info for a table and told us to wait in the back of the restaurant. She handed us a drink menu and we went and stood in the back. After about 15 minutes a space opened at the bar so I figured I'd go get us a cocktail while we waited. The lady bluntly told me she does not take orders at the bar and that she would come take our order in a minute. 20 minutes passed with nothing. We did see her make plenty of cocktails for other people that were seated and eating. More time passed and she came by and said she would come by in a little while to take an order. Another 15 minutes and nothing. She walked by us many times, but refused to even look at us. Then some seats opened at the front in the waiting area and we went and sat there. After another 10-15 minutes of being completely ignored she finally turned to my wife and told her she saw us looking at her. She then proceeded to very rudely tell us that's not how this restaurant works and we have to wait our turn. She also informed us that she would be serving the other tables their 2nd and 3rd drinks before she would get to us!?! It made us so uncomfortable! Although we had waited over an hour we got up and walked out. If you look at the other 1 star reviews you will see other people had the exact same experience. I don't care how good your food is. You do not treat people that way. We will never return there unless the restaurant reaches out to us to inform us she is no longer employed there. We did end the night by going across the street to Fixture and had a wonderful meal with excellent service.

I’ve had three wonderful experiences. However, tonight, my forth time, I was rushed out of an excellent meal, and was thoroughly disappointed. I don’t know that I will ever go back. I was rudely stopped from finishing my meal. I was told if I couldn’t make a decision on the desert when asked, we needed to move on as they needed the table available. There were three other tables that got there before us that were still eating. It was not as if we were frustrated they did not have their table available. The bill for my table of four was over $300. I am offended by their rushing us. I am extremely sad by my experience.

There are a fair amount of reviews here that disparage the service. I want to address that directly: they have a small team, all members of which are fantastic. Given they don’t take reservations and will not seat a party until all members are present, the hostess has to set firm boundaries. If you’re a person that hates boundaries, maybe you should eat at home. On to the food: to quote one of the servers describing their chef “that man can cook!” He certainly can. The food is amazing. The portions are mind-boggling. This is Midwestern fine dining at it’s best. Do yourself a favor and visit The Noble.

My girlfriend and I came in for a late dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant is an intimate space with only a handful of tables. After waiting a bit to be seated, we shared a couple main entrees and an appetizer. Be warned - portion sizes are quite generous. One entree could realistically feed two people, so I would either bring a big appetite or plan to take home leftovers.I loved the tomato soup and the pasta dish. Their cocktails were also delicious. There were plenty of options for vegetarians. Their menu changes on a daily basis so I look forward to coming back and trying something entirely new!

Everything was perfect! My in-laws were in town, so my husband and I decided to introduce them to The Noble experience. They were very impressed. All of our food was delicious—from the roasted garlic appetizer to all of our entrées to the amazing dessert to top it all off. We value the uniqueness of this restaurant. The chef and his wife are well seasoned and run a fantastic little place. Although you might face a long wait time due to the limited seating capacity, it is worth it. A little patience can go a long way here, and it will make your experience much more enjoyable. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a few cocktails before an unforgettable meal.
