The Pasta Tree Restaurant & Wine Bar

We have visited Pasta Tree several times over the years. It is sad for me to say the last two visits have been very disappointing, but worst part is nobody seemed to care.

The atmosphere remains great, if you are looking for a quaint, cozy type of a space.

When we walked in what used to be a very busy environment was far from it. Open tables at 6pm the week before Christmas is what we found, yet the hostess’ first words from her mouth when we walked in were “do you have a reservation” definitely giving the vibe they wanted to turn us away if we didn’t (we did).

Our waitress was friendly but there was definitely a language barrier. I believe this heavily contributed to food being incorrect.

A salad ordered for the table that we asked for the dressing to be on the salad, and it was not, my ceasar salad never came out, my meal that I get all of the time was flavorless and missing ingredients I added to it, another’s meal had extra ingredients on it not listed on the dish, a wine was forgotten altogether, and even though we were there celebrating an event which we indicated on our reservation, no recognition or even a “thanks for celebrating with us” was ever communicated.

When some of these issues were addressed, there was a complete lack of care both from our server as well as the person who ran the food to our table. This was probably the biggest issue. Rather our server said “it’s really busy” which it was NOT.

No manager came to our table to apologize. No “sorry for the inconvenience here’s a dessert on us” (which we did buy a dessert. It was just all around disappointing.
Our bill for 4 people was 270.00 so I guess I just expect more for that.

Used to be one of our favorite places for pasta and a night out for a nice dinner, but I just don’t know if after the last two experiences we would be back.

Not only does this place have the cutest décor ever, but they have an amazing specials menu! Such a great atmosphere to enjoy a nice meal and a glass of wine.

Had such an amazing dinner for my anniversary. Our server Matthew was out of this world. The restaurant was beautiful and relaxing. This is truly an amazing place on the Eastside and I highly recommend for date nights! We will be coming back in December when they decorate!

If you're searching for a cozy and intimate space for a private dinner—whether it's a birthday, bridal shower, or rehearsal dinner—I can’t recommend The Pasta Tree enough! I recently attended a birthday celebration here with a group of 20, and Suzzette and her team were absolutely phenomenal. The private dining area was the perfect setting for such a special gathering. From the attentive service to the delicious family-style pasta and charming ambiance, everything exceeded expectations. It’s truly a gem for hosting memorable events!

In reference to the most recent comment /review. I completely disagree. We employ every ethnicity and are very LGBTQ oriented. I’m sorry you had a poor experience but I invite you to come back and I would happily take care of your party. I was adopted by Asians, lived in England for my BA, and currently love working at the pasta tree on the side while I work on my law degree. Idk what happened for you to have a “poor experience”, but I would happily be there to give you a new perspective of the amazing restaurant.

This is by far one of the worst places to work as a server. The owner does not care about the staff and people of color are treated in a discriminatory and harassing manner :( The restaurant is run horribly and the staff is clueless. I highly recommend anywhere but here for dinner and celebration.

The salmon Alfredo was so delicious. My girlfriend had the carbonara & loved it as well. A great place for an intimate date night. The only thing I didn’t like was the complimentary bread but who’s gonna complain about bread? Had to drive around a few times to find a parking spot.

Went here for a date and it was made so much better thanks to the staff and food. Our server Kyle went above and beyond to tell us about the menu, specials, and even gifted us some treats to try. He was knowledgeable and kind, and let us enjoy our time together, and was respectful. He also enjoyed the fact that we were enjoying it so much. 10 out of 10 across the board. Wonderful charming space and totally worth every cent.
