Allison, owner, was more than welcoming and accommodating. The craft cocktails, aps, entrees, and dessert were all fresh and delicious! Highly recommend and will most definitely return!

Incredibly expensive ($18 for a cup of soup). So cold we kept coats on throughout the 2 hours we were there. Very limited menu of mediocre food. Waiter who seemed totally unfamiliar with the menu and how to wait tables. Should've known we were in trouble when there were no other diners when we arrived.

The decor was great. The cocktails were good but pricey. Our server was friendly, but unfortunately unable to describe the food very well or guide our choices. The food was disappointing and overpriced.

Was super excited to see a new restaurant in this space. I think the space itself is really cool. Overall though the dining was moderate and disappointing when I consider price. We had three different cocktails, all were ok. Charcuterie board was very small for the price and waiter did not tell us anything about the different cheese (there were only 2). Meat wasn't even mentioned on the menu but was on the board. The bean soup was great but then the terrine was a cold lentil loaf in a warm sauce. Odd combo with overly salted potatoes. Mushroom burger had way too many mushrooms. Table was smushed in a corner, and hard to sit or stand when needed. Overall I really wanted to love this place, but it is just average for the price.

We were very excited to try the updated version of this restaurant, but were turned off by the excessive volume and club style music. The food was exquisite but we felt like we had walked in on a staff party. Our waiter was very nice but we could hardly hear him. This atmosphere would have made more sense after the kitchen closed but it was 5 pm. This was a memorable visit for the wrong reasons.

Drinks were very good Charcuterie was fine - we would've liked if the server told us what each bite was Pork belly dish was very good. Love fennel as a balancer for that. Octopus Mac n cheese was excellent but I'd probably prefer less sauce and let that octopus be more of the star - it was perfectly cooked. Overall this place seems to be on the right path and we'd both come back and recommend others to check it out.

It was sad to see the historic White House go but Sage is bringing an energy to the Bay View food scene that I didn't even know we needed. The vibe is incredible. The food is insane. One of the best meals we've had. Totally recommend.
great
We had a wonderful dinner at Sage. We tried the root veggies chip dish, the Caesar salad (not really a salad but still good) the salmon, the Mac and cheese, and the steak. The cocktails were great and the food was perfectly portioned, we even met the owner, Allison, who is just lovely and clearly passionate about her business. Super cute place, we'll be back!

From start to finish the meal was AMAZING! The design aesthetic is so cute, love the live plant feature and the design elements inside the restaurant. The meal was flawless each course was better than the last culminating with a beautiful dessert that was a beet red velvet cake. The cocktails were thoughtful and well balanced, and the wine list while short had excellent options both bottle and glass.

Sage is a new chapter for the former Whitehouse. Chef Elena brings a new and fresh perspective to shared plates. The tempura mushrooms with chili sauce are just one example of brilliance. The bar and wine selection remain top notch. Highly recommend!
For an upscale place,: no coat rack for my wife’s or my jacket. Wine menu was weak, the lighting was so bad you had to use you phone to see the menu or even the food. The drinks were very poorly made. The food was very underwhelming, the wait staff lacked understanding of basic menu or how to be present for the needs of the table. We paid over 300.00 and left hungry and disappointed. Find another place if you want to eat up scale dinning.Parking: The please look like a home that they put tables up on the living room. Parking was a small lot

All together well, flavored some of the dishes could use a little bit of salt other than that very good.

We always love coming to White House. This is one of the few places in Milwaukee that gets it all right. Food is excellent, service is kind and attentive and the atmosphere is beautiful and romantic - also great playlist. We love coming here.

Quiet Tuesday night but the ambience was perfect for great food and conversation for our table of 5. Escargot, filet, duck breast and the scallops were all fabulous. Really no complaints to speak of. We'll definitely be back.
