I may sound like a snob, but consider this a warning: this place is a massive dud. Don’t be fooled by the pretty patio. The drinks were just okay—warm, in fact. The chicken fingers were so salty my usually unfussy kids wouldn’t touch them. The salad was straight from a bag and bathed in a soup of dressing. And the fries (how do you mess up fries) were limp potato noodles. Skip it. Please.

Was told to just sit wherever on the patio. Our server Jessica started out with giving my husband two warm beers, and then when he was ready for another one we waited over 20 minutes. We had to flag down a different server to get Jessica, and she had forgotten the beer. The servers kept huddling up by the bar talking and on their phones while we were waiting. Not busy tonight but was told that there is a lot going on and thanked us for our patience, when we can see her not doing anything. Food was alright, nothing to write about really. Will not be back

Walked in and was told to find our own seat and that somebody would be right with us. It was not busy by any means, yet after 10 minutes of waiting, we still had no server. At one point, all the servers were gathered behind the bar on their phones and still hadn't taken drink or food orders from us. Ultimately, we left before being served.
Cocktails were fine and the service was pretty slow given we were there on an off peak time. Outdoor patio is well maintained and is a nice place to hang out.

I randomly stopped for lunch at The Yard a few weeks ago, an outdoor spot tucked right inside (&outside) The Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee. I ordered the turkey BLT and loved that it came on a buttery, flaky croissant—such a great touch that took the sandwich to the next level.
That said, I tried the chicken katsu sandwich and it was seriously one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked chicken, the flavors were on point, and the mayo? Everything. I came across a “new menu” on Google & was a little bummed to see it’s no longer on the updated menu. I really hope they bring it back or I looked at an “old” or outdated new menu 😅😂
The ambiance was great—I sat in the front near the hotel, but the outdoor lounge area looked super cozy and inviting. I’d love to come back at night, when the string lights and fire towers are lit up I feel like the area would be even cozier and cuter 😊
The service was okay; I’m not sure if it’s because we were sitting outside but it felt like we didn’t get much service at all.
Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the vibe, and I’ll definitely be returning. 😊

The shower was disgusting. Mold was on the shower ledge and was thick on the hose to the shower wand. This only can happen when you don’t clean properly! I shouldn’t have to clean before I try to get clean. Attention to detail is extremely important! I was very disappointed.
