Vastly larger wine by the glass list compared to most everything else in town, and a good place for a break from the busyness of the public market. Flights here are a great way to spend a bit of time.

Bring your own food, even if a snack plate. I don’t recommend getting a flight, go with something you’d know you like. If you get a good staff member they will assist you (with a wine choice). Overall, glad this spot exists in the market but could be better.

very knowledgeable bartenders that know their alcohol. absolutely loved talking with the gentleman that worked in the beer industry for 12 years, I didn’t catch his name. he recommended types of beer, breweries and we even spoke about mead. thank you for always being a great stop in MKE!

We had a glass of wine here before dinner. Service was good and pricing was reasonable.

Today, I visited my favorite place to go in the Milwaukee public market and sat down to have a glass of bubbly and they poured half a glass, and I inquired if this was a normal pour because when I usually get a glass of bubbly, they pour it to the top. The girl said, yes this is our 5 ounce pour. I said I come here often and I’ve never had it poured like this. I said well I guess I’ll have to go someplace else that pours a full glass of bubbly, and the guy behind the counter said well we won’t miss you. This is not a way to treat people. I’m very sad with his response and regardless I was super nice. I was not rude at all. This is not a way to conduct business and I very rarely do a negative review but this really broke my heart because I really love this place and it’s too They don’t have a better staff working for them that actually should be working with the public.

They are against service dogs and will break ADA compliant questions to make you feel uncomfortable…. Not to mention highly aggressive.

They trap you! You can only buy the wine but glass but if you get the wine bottle at the store, can’t drink at their OWN bar! Don’t waste your time sitting there. Within 5 miles you have many options of great Wine shops with great options of wine and decent price and where they respect the client!

I've given this place a few tries to give them a second chance. But every time I get treated like I'm invisible. I order a glass of Chardonnay but I'm sure they have more than one brand but never ask which one I want. I know this because woman next to me they described wine in detail. My last visit, which is my last, my wine was given to me in a plastic cup and I had to ask for water. I watched as others sat down and were given glasses of water and wine in proper glass.
EDIT: I Was sitting at the bar. I indicated that I was staying at the bar. Otherwise I would kept standing. If server thought I was leaving she could have corrected her error and given me a glass. I watched her refill everyone's water but mine. On another visit server was friendly and chatty with others at bar but not with me.

Fun atmosphere, great selection, and attentive staff. The owner and his managers are impressive with their wine knowledge and that passion for wine trickles down to the staff and it shows, creating an enjoyable experience for customers. A must stop when downtown.

Love the wine selection here - and the prices. Never had a bad time with that. Whoever purchases the beer for the cooler, however, is hopefully reading this because the last few times I’ve been there I’ve been really disappointed to see 70-80% IPAs (and the brethren of DIPA, IIPA, DIIPA, NEIPA, etc.), among mostly Stouts and Fruited Sours - I get why most breweries would go this route, but this business could do better since it can buy whatever it wants. Would be nice to see a better variety, to represent other traditional styles (e.g., lagers, pilsners, belgian style, cream, or farmhouse ales, saisons or reg. sours, ambers, etc.).

Lived up to its name = thief$15 corkage for a $18 bottle screwtop !!!Your response misses the point ... your staff neglected to inform me of the amount of the corkage fee.But also your responses to any negative posting is rather dismissive instead of reviewing/resilving any possible underlying issue ... The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
