Three Brothers never disappoints - the spinach and cheese burek is my usual go-to. The atmosphere is everything. Bring cash!

Sarma was really good and it reminded me of Bosnia a lot. The portion was decent but a bit on the smaller side. However, burek with spinach was hugeeee and it tasted delicious. A little bit too oily for me, but you would get the same thing in restaurants back home. The staff were lovely and warm. Some of them speak Serbian and it was nice chatting with them and finding out more about the restaurant itself. Overall great experience, would totally recommend.

Food was incredible! Very affordable and staff was super accommodating. Went in for the cabbage roll but ended up ordering the combo. Stuffed pepper might have been better!!

I really, REALLY wanted to enjoy this meal, and I don’t like complaining, but in light of the reputation of the restaurant, I wonder if they rest on that a bit too much. The food was sub par. My companion ordered the goulash. There were two minuscule dumplings, maybe 5 pieces of cubed beef and an entire bowl full of heavily seasoned sauce. What were you supposed to do with all the sauce? Drink it? My dish was ground beef wrapped in cabbage. It was average, but overpowered by the whole black peppercorns. There was nothing original or delicious about this meal. My guess is either that they are trying to cut food costs or the standards have changed in some way. It was meant to be a special dinner, but it was so disappointing.

We ordered takeouts from Three Brothers during the height of the pandemic and found them very tasty. The two dishes that we particularly liked were Stuffed Zucchini and Beef Burek. Five of us recently dined inside the restaurant and ordered a bunch of dishes to share. -\tSpinach and Cheese Burek was a dish that every one of us enjoyed. The cheese inside the pastry must be well fermented and of very high quality, because it did not cause me any problem even though I’m lactose intolerant. -\tStuffed Zucchini was another dish everyone praised. I particularly liked the tomato-based sauce. -\tChicken Paprikash was one of my personal favorites. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the sweet paprika further enhanced its flavor. -\tSarma was another one of my personal favorites, because the slight sourness of the pickled cabbage leaves gave the beef and rice fillings a more balanced flavor profile in my view. -\tGrap Leaves was good but did not stand out in my view. -\tThe combination of ½ Chevapchichi and ½ Raznjici was quite interesting. One of us really loved the flavor of the beef sausage in Chevapchichi, but the pork Shish-Kabob in the Raznjici was not as flavorful. We also share three desserts. -\tGrandma’s Torte was rich and flavorful, and everyone loved it. -\tBaklava was clearly made of fresh and high-quality ingredients. Unlike many other Mediterranean or Middle Eastern restaurants that serve Baklava prepared possibly days earlier, the Baklava that we had at Three Brothers was clearly made fresh that day and tasted very good. -\tChery Strudel was also very good, although it did not stand out as much as the other two desserts. Overall, the restaurant serves super flavorful comfort foods that distinguish it from other local restaurants.

Wonderful cozy restaurant. The food was great as well as the service. We enjoyed trying the different Serbian specialties. Desserts were excellent too

Sometimes hate to write a great review because I don't want to be crowded out...this is a SUPER classic Milwaukee restaurant that's been in business a super long time because they NAIL IT! Authentic to long-ago owners and a family business, the entire vibe is amazing. Love the super close-together tables and all the quirks. Especially loved the food that was unfamiliar to us and delicious. Best of all though was the outstanding waitstaff. We'll be back whenever we're in Milwaukee. 5 stars with one hand behind my back, on one leg ;)

We just love this place!! Been here a few times and the food is awesome! And the servers are great and very friendly. Answered any questions we had about the foods. We always enjoy going here

I was disappointed with the experience at Three Brothers. The spinach and cheese burek was mostly cheese. There were only flecks of spinach mixed in with what was mostly cheese. The glass of Malbec wine was mediocre at best. I had indicated when making the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and the waiter mentioned that when we were seated, but no complimentary dessert or further acknowledgement was forthcoming. I had very much looked forward to this return to Three Brothers, but it was a disappointment.

Food is absolutely amazing. If you want a taste of true Serbian food without leaving the country, this is the place to go.
