I was here 3/23 right about 8 the girl with the purple shirt all cut up so you could see her bra was rude never came back to our table seemed like she didn’t want to serve us we were done eatting for 15 mins she was helping other tables around us and ignoring us.

I would give them a 5 star rating because theyre my favorite restaurant in the city … but they dont let you book reservations in advance and theyre always so packed that its an hour wait so you cant really go there if you have any plans in the next 4 hours.

We sat at the table and waited for over an hour after we ordered and never got the food all they kept telling me was sorry for the delay and never said why it took so long so we just walked out and waited for no reason I understand mistakes habit they never explained anything to us

We were in Milwaukee for the weekend and chose Toast for a Sunday breakfast. To start off on a positive note, the food was tasty. We ordered the mushroom omelette, cinnamon crunch French toast, and hash brown skillet (pictured). All of the food was well prepared and delicious.
Now, for the negative. It is totally understandable to wait for a table at a very popular breakfast spot on a Sunday, but there were open spots at the bar and tables that sat empty for 15 minutes. I think they would have benefited from having another staff member or two to assist with table management. If you’re planning breakfast or brunch here on a weekend, be prepared to wait for up to an hour.

I wanna say that I absolutely love this place and I used to come here every week when I lived in the city and will still now drive 40 mins to come eat here for breakfast sometime. The reason I’m only giving them 3 stars is because we have been trying to contact them for a month about have a party at the restaurant and haven’t heard anything back. We have been emailing, calling and even in the restaurant and they say a manager will contact us within 24 hours, but nothing yet. I don’t understand why we haven’t heard back, they advertise on their website that they want to host parties but don’t have anyone that actually helps to make it happen.

The food itself was pretty good. However, the pancakes ordered say they come with a your choice of meat. When ordered, the meat was not included in the order. The pancakes were also delivered without syrup or anything to go with them. Management was not very helpful, accommodating or apologetic when I called to remedy this order, hence the 2 star review.

I review gluten free friendly restaurants in the area, I called to ask if a couple of menu items were gluten free, the first lady on the phone that I talked to wasn’t the nicest, everyone has bad days though. The second lady I spoke to, (could have been the same person) couldn’t hear me very well it was probably very loud in the restaurant but I have a high pitched voice so I apologize. They told me on the phone that everything was cooked on the same surface so they couldn’t offer a gluten free experience, but I’ve never had a reaction at Denny’s or other places that say the same so I decided to try it…. And no gluten reaction!! The food was so delicious and the portions were quite big and filling!! The fruit cup was bigger than I thought it would be! If you’re gluten free and have never had a reaction at Denny’s or places like that then you should definitely try toast! ;)
The food was absolutely amazing! Despite it being a very busy Saturday, everyone was very organized, speedy, and pleasant. Highly recommend!!

We make it a point to leave reviews when the restaurant stands out. The food is great and the portions are very large. Our server Evelyn was very attentive and accommodating. Given the fact that we sat upstairs, we knew how much extra work she was putting in for her tables. That does not go unnoticed. We really enjoy this place and we’ll continue to come back.
