What a wonderful cafe! We need more places where people can go who are hungry and may not have much (or any) money. Please keep doing this important ministry! Our prayers are with you. ?

Genuinely one of the coolest places in Milwaukee. The food is beyond excellent and the staff are so nice that I forgot I was in a restaurant! Highly highly highly recommend going here, even if you aren't vegan!Vegetarian options: The entire restaurant is actually vegan!

Rarely in the non-profit world is such a simple idea executed so well. Tons of hard work everyday is what makes the magic happen. Hold on to the dream!

What a delightful little restaurant! I enjoyed a lunch of southwest corn potato chowder, dill zucchini and chickpea rice, eggless salad sandwich, cookie bar and mint tea. It was all delicious, but the soup was off the charts! Even though it was all completely plant-based, I think even my omnivore friends and family would have loved it, too. There was a lovely sense of community shared between people from toddlers to the more — ahem — longevity endowed that included the patrons and the staff. The welcoming atmosphere with many live plants and artwork from local artists gracing the walls added even more to the experience. The fact that it is a “pay as you can” establishment is truly remarkable. They even give away extra produce for free when they have it to give. If I lived in town, I’d be a regular!

Wonderful people that care about other human beings & preserving & protecting the health of the environment. Caring folks..no judgement or questions asked.Vegetarian options: Excellent . The entres I didn't click on, was because I didn't get a chance to taste them when they were on the menu. However, I'm sure those options are great as well as the ones I had the privilege to enjoy!

I love the pay what you can concept. The owners and employees are amazing. They're all such a blessing to have in the community. The food was also amazing. I had the best mushroom soup I've ever tasted, and the salad was awesome, not to mention the presentation of the food, make you feel like you were at a high-end restaurant.
