Troublemakers' Cocina served up some killer eats at the Central Waters Brewery Anniversary Party in Amherst, WI, this weekend! I can't thank them enough for accommodating my wife with a delicious vegan option, especially with what I'm sure was a busy day for the crew. These folks showed how something as simple as rice and mixed vegetables, when done well, can be an interesting and tasty meal.

I'll also shout out their ancho aioli; I'd have them deliver a tanker truck of it if I could.

Incredible flavor served up by some incredibly kind folks. I can't wait to visit your location in Milwaukee. Thanks again, folks!

$25 for nachos (which is really a plate of sauce & burnt meat) is insane. The portion was so unnecessarily massive for the small plate it was served on, it leaked onto the breweries counter. Would be good flavors but an INSANE amount of sauce made it inedible 🫤

Yum!! This place is awesome. I love the twist they have put on Mexican food. It's maybe not that it's different ingredients as much as the way it's presented and the fresh taste.

We have eaten here a few times and I've had the tacos & the Quesadilla but this time I tried the Rice Bowl. Wow, a ton of flavor and especially with the Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Cauliflower added. The other ingredients of Cilantro-Lime Rice, Beans, Lettuce, Cilantro Crema, Ancho Chipotle Aioli, Sour Cream, Pickled Red Onion, Pickled Jalapeno, Cotija Cheese really give it a great flavor.

Did I mention they are inside Central Waters Brewing in the Pabst complex. The fact that I can drink killer craft beer along with the killer Mexican food makes for a great. combo.

I have been photographing, coordinating and working weddings for 15 years and this has been BY FAR the best wedding catering experience I have had in recent memory.

The staff was communicative, attentive and friendly. They were excellent to work with. I HIGHLY will highly recommend their catering services to all of my couples and upcoming events.

AND the food was surpurb... The elote risotto was my favorite dish of the evening and I wanted to go back for more!

Although I haven't been to their physical restaurants, I will be sure to go and update if anything is different, but I highly doubt it.

We have had the pleasure of working with Troublemakers’ Cocina at our venue multiple times, and every experience has been exceptional. Their food is consistently delicious — the flavors are bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced, and every dish arrives beautifully presented. Beyond their amazing cuisine, what really stands out is how well they take care of their clients: their team is attentive, professional, and incredibly easy to coordinate with. We’ve received nothing but glowing feedback from guests whenever Troublemakers’ is catering for us. Highly recommended!

Got the asada loaded fries at Central Waters. 19$ for barely a tacos worth of meat and soggy fries. I'd stay away from that item and get their tacos or rice bowl that the other people I was with got. Looked like real meals.

They have been a staple of an event that I attend every year. They always bring positive great vibes, along with a great selection of food.
I love it. The vegetarian option is legit and tasty as opposed to an afterthought.

I ordered a two taco meal (one carne asada and one fish) tonight at the Franklin school event. For $17 I was thinking this was going to be super delicious. I was wrong.
The carne asada on the taco were large chunks of meat and they were sooooo chewy and DRY. Almost every piece that I ate, I had to spit out. The fish was overcooked and there were some gray and feathery parts inside that were definitely questionable. The rice and beans were probably the worst of any rice and beans I've ever had. Even if I paid $1 for this meal, I would have been terribly disappointed. I ended up throwing away 75% of the food I had left. The only good thing about our experience was that the woman who took my order was nice. If you are going to charge an arm and a leg for your food, it should at least be delicious. $24 for a three taco plate for mediocrity is just insane lol. One and done.

I’ve eaten here numerous times while visiting Milwaukee and it’s really hit or miss. Fish fry is about 80% fries and three small pieces of fish. Birria egg rolls and every taco I’ve tried have been consistently good. This last time though, SIGH. I got a rice bowl with the tinga chicken and it was absolutely drowning in sauce. It was so soaked with the sauce (which was quite good, by the way, but subtracting at least half would have been more than sufficient) that it rendered everything a textureless mess. And there was maybe 5 pieces of chicken in the entire bowl. Stick with the tacos.

Amazing street tacos. Loved the Brussel sprout taco. Really unique.
Great space inside Central Waters Brewery in an old church.

The vegetarian dishes are fantastic! They are so flavorful and I cannot stop thinking about the street corn quesadilla-delicious! We were lucky to meet one of the chefs, Arnie, who was delightful! I cannot recommend the food enough, and it’s a very fun setting being inside Central Waters Brewing/in the old Pabst church.

These guys came to a food truck fest in waukesha yesterday. I got the birria eggrolls and the brussel sprout/cauliflower tacos and they were delicious! The blonde lady working the window needs an attitude adjustment but she wasn’t that bad. I’m assuming she’s the one other reviews have complained about. Food was phenomenal though!!!

Got one of the rice bowls from their food trucks. For $18 it was a total rip off. The ball is very tiny and seems like a small portion which should’ve been $10 at most compared to other food trucks would never order that again.

Ordered at Strawberry Fest, they messed up our order and refused to fix it. My husband mentioned it kindly to (what I assume is) the manager and brought back the incorrect food and she told him he would need to order it again if we wanted the correct thing, as if it was our fault they made and handed out the wrong food. I watched her look at their order ticket too, so I know she could confirm we were handed the wrong thing. To make things worse, because I did not want to wait another 30 minutes in the line to re-order and HOPE they’d get it right, I just took the food they gave me and it was BURNED!
I understand it’s hot and you’re busy, but please treat me like a person.
