Voted "Most likely to contract a communicable disease by using the bathroom" by anybody who has ever been there, the Up & Under Pub is a dime-store version of your local greasy Wisconsin Dive Bar. Terrible bartender service, stolen musical equipment if you're a band playing there (happened to me), and a floor that looks like and probably will give way sooner than later, you're sure to feel like your mom and dad were cousins by the time you walk out the door into a cloud of clove cigarette smoke from the cigar bar across the street. 2 stars instead of one because the live music is generally quality.

Noisy! Clearly geared towards a rocking young audience!

Always a great place to see some live music and grab good drinks with a cheap cover charge

My husband and I met here over 30 years ago and are celebrating our 30th anniversary this year. If it wasn’t for the Up and Under, destiny, and a good game of darts, we may never have met. Truly an institution!

Classic Brady St bar, great shows and staff. I always feel at home at the up.

Bartender was drunk Wednesday night around 8pm. We couldn’t get the drinks we wanted and there was a point he fell on floor. I understand this dive but it’s unprofessional.

Favorite dive jam bar on the East Side. Reggae, Garage, Jam. Also weird back area.

Been here several x’s over last 20yrs I’ve lived in Milwaukee. Most times to see King Solomon (local reggae band). Most recently for my 40th celebrations (2nd to last stop). Only reason for 3 stars is the women’s bathroom is most x’s a wee bit of a hot mess. Sorry. Hopefully it’s improved.
Awesome vibe. About as brady street as it gets. Music is always good. Bartenders are always cool. 1 dollar PBRs on a Sunday in the summertime man you cannot beat it

Hey bro, something died in your bathroom a while back. Please check it out. It is ruining your potential.

One of the bartenders gave me an awesome tequila recommendation. They've got great prices for drinks and nice team there. They could use some new stool covers and to fix up the bathroom, the stalls are literally coming out of the metal plate that holds it to the ground. But overall a decent time. Oh and there was some food smell in the air that was delicious.
