I came here for the first time recently and didn’t know what to get when i initially walked in. The baristas provided me with an absolutely delicious recommendation, and were extremely nice. I will definitely be back!!

This is a very nice coffee shop, unless you are looking for a quiet spot for a quiet conversation with two people, inside.

This location has a nice looking facade, red brick, with black awnings. Several healthy looking plants standing guard at the front vestibule. Inside there is a large center table, and some counter spots along the front window. Lots of items and merchandise to look at while you wait your turn.

Came with a friend, and it didn't take us long to get to the cashier. Lots of choices on both the food and drink menu. Cookies, muffins, biscottis, and power bars if you are looking for some bakery. Breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal and other breakfast items as well. Got my London Fog Tea Latte (little lavender, little vanilla and extra foam), in a nice 12oz mug. They told me it would be severals minutes to steep the Earl Grey Tea, which I always take as a good sign that they know what they are doing :)

Inside, there weren't any spots for 2 people to have a quiet/private conversation, so we had to go outside. Then there was the busy street, with traffic noise.

The drinks and service were all very good. Unfortunately the seating options are not a good fit for my coffee shop routine.

One of their employees celebrated political violence, and the company seems to stand behind him.

Great little (seats 16, at most) shop on Vliet at edge of Washington Highlands. Nice front counter to sip and savor. Also a few smaller high top tables. Some food (croissants in warming oven, pastries (see photos).

Very high ceilings, industrial chic, but the service is friendly. Expert barista.

Do an incredible flat white.

Highly recommend

After 13 years of singing their praises, the horrible customer service I received after getting a bad 5 lb bag was enough to stop buying. Not sure if it was a bad batch or quality suddenly changed, but they never felt the need to reply to my emails trying to figure out

I've been a longtime customer here, and I have never been more ready to recommend a place than Valentine. Classy and simple drinks with flavour you wouldn't believe. Amazing smells and the roasted coffee never disappoints.

Hands down the best local coffee. Easy to find them at the weekend Farmer’s Markets too.

Best coffee we had during this trip, completely enjoyed it. Very friendly service, nice ambiance to peacefully sip and enjoy the coffee.

Really great almond horn and coffee! Good pastry selection. One gluten free option from an external bakery.

My most favorite coffee spot in the city.

Received two bags of Valentine coffee roasters whole bean, one from Guatemala Huehuetenango and the other from Brazil Minas Gerais.
Both are excellent and delicious.
Alone they're great or as a 50/50 blend they're amazing!!!
