My wife and I went in for my birthday weekend. I had a 6pm reservation for Saturday September 27, 2025. They brought out the bread which was amazing. She had an 8oz and I had a 16oz Prime Rib. She had a Baked Potato, I had French Fries. Her 8oz appeared to me to be a 12oz and my 16oz looked like 20oz. Believe me, I am not complaining. The meat was cooked perfectly. The au jus was amazing. That was a special Birthday Dinner. I can not wait for my next trip there.

My husband and I dined at Ward's for the first time since 2017, as we had lived in Atlanta for many years. It was a wonderful dining experience. Tim, the Server, impressively excels in the hospitality profession. He is welcoming, friendly, and his expert suggestions are perfect. The food is delicious. We recommend the Prime Rib (perfectly prepared and flavorful), the twice-baked potato (perfectly prepared and flavorful), and the Carrot Cake (prepared in-house, moist and delicious). Last, but not least, kudos to the Hostess who set the tone for dining with her friendly and welcoming manner. Nowadays, we live in Madison, and Ward's is a must-dining place when we are in Milwaukee.

The customer service is impeccable! The food is delicious and so are the cocktails. Enjoyed everything.

Service was a bit slow. Too many things were upcharges of $4. Just make the price of the entre higher and stop nickel and diming. The au gratin potatoes were undercooked. Bone in ribeye was not great. Overall, the food was OK but not where it should be. Very surprised they do not have valet parking. They do have a very extensive bourbon collection which is nice.

Decided to visit Ward's while in town for a conference and it definitely did not disappoint. The house staff were courteous and efficient and our server (Tim) was very thorough and accommodating to our little group. Only one of us had the prime rib (which was as good as any we've ever had), with others getting different steak options. Everything was cooked exactly to order, with some pretty specific instructions (had never heard of a steak cooked "Pittsburg-Style" until one of our party requested it. The beet salad was particularly good, as was the Cajun mac & cheese and the lobster bisque. Yes, it's more expensive than a typical chain like Stoney River...but not any more than a typical prime steak house. If you enjoy delicious prime rib and don't want to wait until the weekend to get it, this is the place!

We had dinner here this past weekend and it was probably the best Prime Rib and Sea Bass we have ever had. Our waiter was charming as was the rest of the staff that we encountered.

Lives up to the hype. I don’t know what was better the food or the service. Came at a slow time right at open and there were only a few tables but the staff, service, and food were great. The Mac n cheese and twice baked was delicious sides. Wasn’t too impressed with the taco soup. Prime rib was top notch. Very flavorful and cooked to temp.

Went to wards at summerfest for $15 prime rib sandwich with fries. Got a cheap watery unflavorful Italian beef sandwich they tried to pass off as prime rib. They insisted on it being prime rib when I went to complain with no offer to trade it in for something else. I know the difference between prime rib and cheap shaved Italian beef. Don't waste your money here. RIP OFF!

The service was great, and the food was good. A bit cold from our perspective but that might just be how it is. Scallops were delectable and spinach was great. They know how to make a stiff drink, too!

Great prime rib and sides.

Shockingly bad. Dont waste your money. Went for a 15th anniversary and every aspect of the experience was disappointing. Unappetizing cocktails. Dirty wine glasses. Grilled shrimp was worse than frozen. Overcooked prime rib. Server had to be asked for a knife and horseradish sauce. Was treated worse after speaking up about issues.
No management or any apology for the issues with the food or service. $250+ for two people to leave feeling terrible. Save your money and get more at BIRCH for less money and the management and servers really take care of you there!

I know everyone says this but I absolutely hate leaving these. I love going and giving 5 stars after an experience. I love pushing a restaurants rating up. I love to build up, not tear down. 25 long hard years in the food industry has taught me that there is no perfect. Only effort and dedication and integrity, if any of those had shown up I would have not said anything. I HATE complaining. It's why I paid $300 for a meal that will go down in the annals of an extremely long dining history as one of the worst experiences of all time. There were no redeeming qualities to this meal and NO ONE cared. Examples: Ordered 2 Martinis 1 tasted like soap and had obvious spots. Grilled Shrimp App- rubbery, undercooked 16/20 shrimp with a disgusting sauce. Nebbiolo- grossly warm, well above room temp, and in a glass with lipstick marks. Prime Rib- This one hurt, it was the reason we were there. I have had better prime rib at a buffet in rural GA. They couldn't hit a temp to save a life and I gave up hoping. I just ate the shoe leather and moved on. Sides- inedible, that's all I'll say. Service- absolutely apathetic. No manager on duty for my wife to speak with either. It was our 15th anniversary, this was supposed to be our celebration dinner and instead it was a disaster. We are so grateful that we went to Birch the previous evening because it has allowed us to shake this experience off as the nightmare that it was.
