If there's a hidden gem restaurant in Milwaukee, without question it's Ward's House of Prime. I'm always down for a Prime Rib whenever available, and they absolutely win every time on delivering an excellent prime rib.

Last time I was here the restaurant was totally empty on a weekend, very quiet with no loud music and good soundproofing from the bar area out front. I have no idea why this restaurant was empty. The service was phenomenal, the drinks were amazing and the food is stellar with very reasonable prices on food even for how expensive Prime Rib can be.

Easily my stand outs are the Prime Rib (of course), the stellar Pork Belly appetizer, and the scallops on the side. I also enjoyed the chocolate cake dessert which was so phenomenal, very rich with lots of chocolate.

My dad enjoyed his old fashioned, and we tried the Japanese Highball and it was outstanding and very refreshing. I also loved the selection of whiskey and bourbons, and this restaurant is where I tried Hibiki Japanese Whiskey for the first time and it was amazing.

I absolutely recommend this restaurant. If you're looking for a great restaurant in Milwaukee and you're in the mood for a more quiet and laid back environment with great food, Ward's is easily the winner.

I'm here for work and so happy to have tried their prime rib, it is so good that its worth coming to Milwaukee just for this! The marbeling of the beef is spread throughout and for the night I dined, their 12oz with 3 scallops special was divine. The wait staff, Amaya, was very hospitable.

We went for our Anniversary dinner, I had the 24 oz prim rib and she had the 8 oz fillet and scallops. Both meals were cooked to perfection!!! Our server was spot on -- friendly... professional..easy to talk to.
The other staff we encountered were very pleasant and all wished us a Happy Anniversary. Very comfortable atmosphere, I would and will recommend Ward's house of Prime!
Ps. Thanks for the complimentary dessert for our Anniversary.

An upscale establishment with melt-in-your-mouth prime rib. The place is clean with nice furnishings but sterile and crowded, not exactly cozy, private nor romantic.

I was in Milwaukee and finally had a chance to dine at Ward's House of Prime, and it was wonderful. I haven't had a prime rib this good in years. You can get larger cuts, but I settled for the 24 oz. cut. The prime rib had a beefy and succulent flavor through the entire tender slab. Real prime rib taste with a perfectly savory crust. I highly recommend a stop here if you're in town. Comes with soup or salad and a potato, nice to see no charge extras at a high end restaurant. Excellent service.

My wife and I went in for my birthday weekend. I had a 6pm reservation for Saturday September 27, 2025. They brought out the bread which was amazing. She had an 8oz and I had a 16oz Prime Rib. She had a Baked Potato, I had French Fries. Her 8oz appeared to me to be a 12oz and my 16oz looked like 20oz. Believe me, I am not complaining. The meat was cooked perfectly. The au jus was amazing. That was a special Birthday Dinner. I can not wait for my next trip there.

My husband and I dined at Ward's for the first time since 2017, as we had lived in Atlanta for many years. It was a wonderful dining experience. Tim, the Server, impressively excels in the hospitality profession. He is welcoming, friendly, and his expert suggestions are perfect. The food is delicious. We recommend the Prime Rib (perfectly prepared and flavorful), the twice-baked potato (perfectly prepared and flavorful), and the Carrot Cake (prepared in-house, moist and delicious). Last, but not least, kudos to the Hostess who set the tone for dining with her friendly and welcoming manner. Nowadays, we live in Madison, and Ward's is a must-dining place when we are in Milwaukee.

Ward’s House of Prime is hands down one of the best steakhouses in Milwaukee! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, upscale, and inviting. The staff goes above and beyond with their hospitality, making sure every detail of the evening feels special. The prime rib is absolutely incredible—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The cocktails and wine selection pair beautifully with the meal, and dessert is the perfect finishing touch. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Milwaukee, Ward’s House of Prime is a must-visit.

Service was a bit slow. Too many things were upcharges of $4. Just make the price of the entre higher and stop nickel and diming. The au gratin potatoes were undercooked. Bone in ribeye was not great. Overall, the food was OK but not where it should be. Very surprised they do not have valet parking. They do have a very extensive bourbon collection which is nice.
