LOVED spending the night here! The rooftop with live music was such a summer vibe. Drinks and food were awesome too. Our server, Kaitlyn, did a wondering job and was so great to us. Would definitely recommend visiting this place!

If you want a place to take the kids to eat, get away for a date night or listen to live music with a few drinks with your girls! You cannot go wrong with Breakwater. Plus the perks of being on the water, it is so peaceful out on the patio. Don’t forget about the banquet room that has a bar for serving your event privately. From graduation, retirement and birthday parties. Any event you need hosted Gabriel will help your vision come to life. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful! 10/10 I do recommend.

Breakwater consistently remains our go-to spot. The views from the rooftop, the friendly staff, and the food service are unbeatable around Madison. HUGE thank you to Gabriel for helping us host a flawless birthday party (for the second time)! I will always recommend Breakwater to anyone looking for an event space.

Awesome!!!!! The staff treat you as though they have been waiting for you. It is like going to a friend's bar. And the food is delicious. One of the few restaurants you can go to with your vegan friends and gluten intolerant friends and your other friends and everybody can order off the menu and get a good delicious meal.

Probably one of the best bars I’ve been to. Great patio right on the river. Awesome bar space. Went there for a brunch after a wedding w/ an awesome event room/ event space with a bar to chill and w/ a tv to watch the Packer game. Good staff. Amazing vibes.

We really enjoyed it here, the only downside was the salad our daughter ordered. She took one bite and said something tasted off- we determined the cheese was spoiled. She didn’t eat it, we mentioned it to our server (who was great!) but instead of offering something else just took 10% off her salad on our bill, even though she couldn’t eat it. I know it was an honest mistake- but wish she could have had it remade!

Stopped by for brunch on Labor Day and had a great experience at Breakwater. Tim was so accommodating and took time to talk with us and went above and beyond to make our day great. Syd, our waitress, was amazing and friendly as well. We will definitely be back.
