Our bartender, JJ, was the sweetest and handled our event very efficiently and swiftly. Gabriel made sure we had everything we needed and offered to help set things up, even passed what he was required to do. I highly recommend to book events here and request these two, they are the best!!!

A wonderful place to host an event. The menu is very diverse and offers a wide variety of options to suit every taste. Great grub and a great spot right on the Yahara river. Lunch with Donna - This week we went to the Breakwater, 6308 Inland Wy, Monona. Donna is my 95 yr young ex mother-in-law. We go out for lunch every Tuesday. Today Donna had one of the Tuesday specials, quesadillas $11. I had a cranberry walnut salad with blackened salmon, $20. Both dishes were 5 stars.

To begin, I have eaten here several times and have usually been very happy with food and service. That is why we returned to dine again. Today's dining didn't match expectations. It was hard to find the cranberries and the walnuts in my Cranberry Walnut Salad. The dining room was so cold that we all dined in our coats. We mentioned the temperature to the waiter who said he would check with the manager, but it was still cold when we finished dining. Because previous experiences have been so good, I will dine here again, but if this had been a first visit, it would be my last.

The cuban sandwich was soggy thin white bread, not panini pressed like a cuban is supposed to be. Tasted like par-baked frozen bread, low quality, what i’d expect at a gas station. Also no mustard on the sandwich, which is standard. Menu even said mustard and pressed grilled bread, didn't get either.. Waitress kept forgetting things we ordered as well. Location is beautiful but for the prices they charge the food is not worth it. Rip off.

We were charged more for beer and wine than the prices shown on the menu, with no notice given. This is deceptive pricing and isn’t allowed under consumer protection rules. Food and service were fine. They did fix the charge when we pointed it out. Customers should check their bill carefully. Management should update the menus or clearly inform guests of any price changes to avoid misleading customers.
