Food was very good and the service was fine. The atmosphere left a lot to be desired. This is our first time there, and my guess is that many of their customers get their food for carry out.

Wow, haven’t tried this place a couple of years- it’s changed for the better! Food was SO GOOD, ordered last night for pick up, we got the fragrant chicken and governor’s shrimp, plus some soup (can’t think of the name) plus potstickers - all the food was outstanding in quality and flavor. So happy this place is so close to our place.

Get the pork fried rice. It’s amazing. The staff will also teach you some Chinese if you’re there often!

My family and I have been going to China Star (formerly Ruby's) for decades. Even though I now live in Cottage Grove, China Star is still our go to restaurant for Chinese cuisine. Tina and Ming are some of the kindest people you will ever meet, and their food is just a great as the service. Pork egg foo young and pork fried rice are our go-tos, although my fiancee has now added the general tsos chicken to our selection. Can't recommend them enough!

First time , deliveryBeef lo main , general tao's chicken, orange chicken, spring rolls. The beef lo main & general tao's believe it or not to much meat. Lacking fresher veggies, literally had 2 peapod and carrots. Orange chicken, outside batter looked like greasey crumble paperbag, no crunch, inside batter looks grayish, chicken very dry . Basically if you fried at 7pm , then served 35/45 mins later.Spring rolls, looked nice, crunch favor just seemed off.

The food was the absolute worst version of American Chinese food I have ever had. Avoid at all costs.

The food was delicious and great, people were very nice and patient. Sesame Chicken is my favorite and they also made it best! We will definitely come back!

Atmosphere sucks, service is barely rateable, but their food is amazing. They don't just serve the standard Chinese restaurant junk that everywhere else seems to sell, they're at least twice as good as most comparable restaurants.

Very friendly staff and reasonable pricing. They served good food in a timely manner in generous portionsKid-friendliness: They helped comfort my little cousin when she got fussy and even offered her toys to keep. They were very patient with her

The food was delicious. I got the Sweet & Sour Chicken lunch special with fried rice. It comes with an egg roll. The rice was great, not sticky or dry like other shops. The sauce was good. The chicken wasn't crispy like I like it, but the flavor was bangin. The egg roll was pretty good as well. Everyone in my office enjoyed their food. We found our new go to chinese place.

I got Mongolian beef, which is what I always get anywhere I get Chinese food pretty much... It was the most bland Mongolian beef I have ever had. It tastes like slightly salty nothing and has no spice to it. I saw an earlier review saying it was too spicy, maybe they over corrected? My partner got "Pancakes" for his side expecting the kind of Chinese pancake with scallions and it was a stack of tortillas with bean paste... Overall I have never had food this bland from any other Chinese takeout place. Won't be going back.
