Honestly, everything was just order your food at a counter, and they bring it out, and that's about it. However, the ribs were hardly tender and didn't have any special flavor. Some sides were really good and some were not..There were only 3 cars in the parking lot on a Sat night, should've just took that as a sign.

The experience was awful. Staff were very slow. They ran my debit card several times and didn’t say anything to me regarding this. I found out from my bank. 2 different amounts. Nice portion sizes. The sides weren’t nothing to brag about. The Atmosphere was cute.

We've been coming here for three decades! The ribs are honestly the best in town. And that smokey goodness just lingers on your fingers! I love the Saturday night special: a full slab of ribs + 2 sides with garlic bread. There's something about their fries that goes perfectly with the BBQ. If you can, stop by when they have the carrot and cashew soup. You will not be disappointed!

I ordered a three meat combo and a kids hot dog and French fries. The meats were okay. Not bad. Not great. Really just okay, but I not impressive. My major complaint was that the kids hot dog bun was inedible. It seamed as if it were microwaved. It was too hard to even bite into.My other complaint is the sides. I got the macaroni and cheese and the potato salad. The potato salad was okay. The macaroni and cheese on the other hand was not. It appeared that it had been sitting out for awhile. Long enough to develop a thick skin over the entire surface of the Macaroni. Under the thick skin it was a very mealy texture of cold cheese and it appeared to simply be a cheap box macaroni and cheese. The building was fairly empty. Perhaps 1-2 other tables had guests at them. It was 7 pm on a Wednesday. The prices were reasonable $31 (I tipped $9) for a total of $40.The staff was very friendly and I hope I just caught them on a bad night. I wouldn’t try them again though unfortunately.I really hate to write this about a local business, but I was very displeased with the food. I don’t want anything out of leaving this review.

Fat Jack's has been a wonderful experience every time I've gone there since the early 00s. The food is great!!!
Was pretty upset after we ran out of work provided soft tacos and was left with soggy hard shells. Seriously? Hard shell, get real. So I typed in BBQ places because my belly demanded meat, and quickly. I was so hungry I was skeptical. I wasn't a believer. BUT damnnnnn. That garlic bread was next level and I don't even like bread. Everything tasted amazing. Smoker on duty for sure! But that mac and cheese. Definitely not a regret. Those tacos probably sucked anyways
Alllllllllllllllllll
We get to the Madison area from the home office twice a year on business. We always make it a point to visit Fat Jacks for ribs. These are some of the best ribs you can get anywhere. They are slow pit smoked over real hickory…. The only way you can get real bbq flavor. The staff is always very friendly. A choice of sauces for individual tastes, although I think the ribs would be great without. The side choices are good as well. If you are a fan of real smoked food, you can’t go wrong here.

Average visit. Was recommended by a hotel to give it a go. Bought the 5 meat combo off the recommendation of the staff. I was pretty excited but the meat was tough and the chicken was dry. Not a fan of plastic forks when you are trying to pull meat off the bone and it bends so easily. I would do 2 stars but the cool interior and awesome staff makes it a 3 star for me.
