This place is my favorite. I eat in many restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very attentive and the cuisine they cook is so fresh and tasty. I am always happy to have a good meal in this place. Highly recommended.

We enjoy going out. Yesterday we found this superb place which friends told us about. We had a lovely experience there with very good dishes and a professional team and a talented chef. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we shall definitely go again soon. We highly recommend.

I celebrated my PhD earlier this evening in this gorgeous place. Well we passed a sensational evening and the venue was clearly the reason for that strong event. The crew helped in a sweet way, the food was very good and my buddies were so delighted. We shall definitely come back again for more joyful events. thanks very much.

I had always wanted to try Schuberts. Was fascinated by its history, with its starting during WWI. So I went with a friend for lunch. They had veggie wraps and I had one with fries. I was impressed there were vegetarian items on the menu. This may sound odd but I've never had such good French fries in my life. Cooked perfectly. Of course the wrap was excellent. When we got our checks a man at the register was ready to ring us up. I found out he was the last of the Schubert family lineage. I asked if he takes charge cards. He said they only take cash or check. Then I got the surprise of my restaurant going life. He said not to worry. Just pay me when you can. The honors method seemed like a throwback to a simpler more trusting era where I can see them having done this decades ago, and how the courtesy carried over. Just that alone would have had me giving Schuberts 4 stars - even if the food was substandard. But it was very good! Such nice people.

This is a gem in the middle of Mt Horeb. Staff was very attentive and polite, food was delicious and fresh...you could taste the freshness literally. We were amazed at the food quality and the place looked clean and everything about the restaurant was on point. To top it all off the prices were just right and that made the experience even better. If I could, I would give this place a 6 star rating!

Food has always been good but the place is in desperate need of deep clean and updating. They have not been clear about when they are going to be open or not since COVID came around so it’s been confusing. They keep posting hours but are not open.

Great breakfast, coffee just a tad strong, but still good.

I've been going here since I was five years old, in 1969. Back then, the main attraction for me was "cow pies", which is what my family called the giant cookies they sold there. There used to be a "soda j**** who juggled glasses and could get an ice cube into a glass from 10' away. Upstairs, there was a urinal built into the wall that was taller than I was. Thankfully, I never fell into it. My favorite lunch sandwich was BBQ (not sure if pork or beef).

Best breakfasts place I’ve been to in Mt. Horeb. It gets crazy busy during times, but they manage to work around and greet guests right away. Love their lunch sandwiches, and the coffee is AMAZING. Would definitely recommend stopping by this diner.

My Western omelet was definitely in the top three I've ever had. My wife and I split a chocolate eclair and it was excellent. Reminds me of old fashioned baking when people cared about the ingredients.

After waiting 10 minutes for menus to be brought over to our table, we waited another 15 solid minutes before the waitress meandered back to our table.

Food was delicious! Recommend having a cream puff when you visit. These things are works of beauty!
