The boasted chicken was excellent. As asked the sweet potatoes fries were extra crispy. The burgers were nice and thick. The onion rings were FANTASTIC! Nice fresh salad bar. 4 in our party. Great value. Nice birthday lunch for Mom. Very nice server.

We went there for a 50th wedding anniversary and they made the food it was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone for catering

We called ahead to make sure they could accommodate our group of 20 and we're assured they could. The tables were arranged for our group when we arrived. The waitress was friendly. She took our orders for drinks and meals and put a name on each ticket for each couple. She seemed to have a handle. It went down hill from there. When she brought out drinks, mostly soda, she held up can and asked who had Pepsi, diet Coke etc. It was hard for to hear her at the long table. What a mess. We waited a long time for our meals, majority getting chicken strips or burgers. Finally 2 meals came out and the bartender delivered them to the table at a very slow pase. He came to center of the long table and stated what was on the plates very quietly as everyone around the table tried to figure out if it was theirs. Then it was several more minutes for the next couple meals and our waitress brought them, but again stated what was on plate as we all tried to figure out if it was ours. Then several plates were set on the shelf between the kitchen and the bar and the cook and the bartender seemed to be arguing back and forth as we watched our meals getting cold. Then our waitress weighed in on the controversy. This went on for several minutes. Then 2 plates at a time the waitress brought them over and said what was on plates and took a few minutes for each to figure out who's it was. The bartender stood behind bar doing nothing and not offering to help as all the plates sat there getting cold. People were missing sides. My chicken bacon ranch wrap was good. My husband's Phillie cheese steak sandwich was hot, but no taste. His fries were cold. Several said their chicken strips were barely warm. Our bills were never brought to the table and all of us were around the bar asking for our bill and having to restate what we had and the waitress had it in the computer and printed it off. Some bills were wrong. Not sure what happened to original bills she wrote our names on. It was a total fiasco. I felt bad for the waitress. She was obviously overwhelmed and had absolutely no help from anyone. Bartender was worthless. We watched him make drinks for others and he had zero ambition and moved like a snail. They had at least 2 more larger groups walk in after us and evidently had an anniversary party that night. No idea how this crew could handle any of this. We all left feeling like we should have gone elsewhere.

Great variety of fish offered, such as flounder and catfish. All the food tasted good.Parking: Along the road, but I have heard an overflow can park in the church parking lot across the road.
Unique and historical decorations make this a fun place to visit. Service was pretty good and food was filling. There was a few yummy things at the buffet and some not so great. Can not speak to the rest of the menu.

An absolute delight. That fried chicken is on another level. It was the best fried chicken I've ever eaten and I'd bet it would win a fried chicken contest. Inside, the decor is classic rustic Americana - very charming and welcoming. We were guests at a wedding reception held here and the food was *chef's kiss* The next day, they served a Sunday brunch and everything was just delicious. We got to try a little bit of everything from the award-worthy fried chicken to the biscuits and gravy and even some soft serve ice cream to top off the meal. The staff could not be nicer and I honestly felt like they treated every guest like family. We drove an RV from Ft. Lauderdale and this was, without a doubt, the best stop on our crosscountry trip thus far.
